Initially I happened to open my account in HSBC. And I was told that I would receive my ATM password and net banking password through e-post. So I waited for that envelope for 3 months for my ATM password and net banking password. But to my disappointment I did not receive any. I enquired the customer care of HSBC and found that the request is not filed and that it was filed when I called them, and I would receive my credentials in a week after I called them. I waited still.
Finally I received my HSBC credentials and to my sad surprise I found that the credentials have been expired. And I was in a completed disappointment for their services. And after many requests I received the exact ATM password and the net banking credentials after 5-6 Months of my opening account in the bank ( that means I did not draw my salary for these many months just because I I was a HSBC account holder) . I was really pissed off with the delay services of the bank.
I just do not recommend banking with HSBC to anyone.
