Today a home printer comes in really handy. No need to run around to xerox stationary shops to get your printouts, long waits there and worst of all no data security! Your document is seen by everyone in the stationary shop. Any personal info is no longer personal!
So I chose this HP 2545 printer.
Pros:This has very good cartridge life as mentioned by HP and Black ink lasted for around 350 - 400 pages which is quite good. WiFi connectivity is just great, no longer cables needed and freedom of using it from multiple devices. This indeed becomes a network printer!
Print/Copy/Scan all in one
Cons: Installation was too slow! I felt as if it is going into hang. It took over 30 minutes or so.
The casing around scanner bed does not feel perfectly perpendicular. Scan appears tilted at times despite you have aligned it to the edges of the scanner bed
Though it supports A4 page size it can not copy full A4. It roughly copies upto letter page size
No inch scale markings along scanner bed short edge. That could have simplified the custom size setting for scan. You have to do a bit of trial error here.
HP tech support - Once when I raised some tech issue, the person at other end started marketing practices, while I needed solution to my problem, he was offering me some discounts if I were to buy cartridges online! It's like for some urgent health issue you need medication on priority and the chemist is offering you some buy 1-get 1 free offer or something like that!
