I want to bring this to your notice that my experience with HDFC Credit card was pathetic.
HDFC Credit Card now started doing some malpractice to their credit card customer. They want to recover their losses from their valued customer. The reason for this malpractice may be losses to HDFC bank due to recent market failure.I'm writing this review on October2008, when stocks crashed.
First few months it was fine then but suddenly they put Annual card fee charges and even if you don't pay amount in time they put hefty finance changes and late payment fees. If you request bank to remove late payment fee, they don't agree to do so.
Like ABN-AMRO is very good on this front, if you miss payment by 1week, they don't charge you, even if they charge, they revert it back, (on request). The next big thing is, if you don't agree to pay all bogus charges/ finance charges/ late payment charges, they will put your name in CIBIL(Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited)
By that they will harm your social image and no bank will issue you Credit Card.
It is better to minimize the Credit Card transaction or surrender credit cards or Not to take credit card at this time since Bank have started malpractice with customers.
