I had fallen prey to the advertisements and spent over Rs. 30, 000/- and wasted my time over a period of 3 years, first at Dr. Batra's and then at H&G Clinic towards treatment of Psoriasis.
Yes, Psoriasis is a difficult disease to treat, but at these clinics they will mesmerize you with false promises and fudged photographs to part with your money.
The doctor showed me on the LCD screen of some skin eruption(which I later on understood to be nothing than a high tech magnifying glass) and assured me that since I have just small patches it will be 100% cured, but I have to continue the treatment for one year. I had agreed and followed all they had said religiously like not to take onions etc. or alcohol and so on. Initially a little improvement showed but that was due to some local oil application(which I feel is something mixed with steroids).
After a couple of sessions, the very attractive girls who work there began their sales pitch for hair care as well, since I am balding as well. I had almost fallen into their trap but decided to talk to other patients and track their progress. NOT A SINGLE PATIENT SHOWED ANY IMPROVEMENT.
I knew that I was duped. I should have suspected beforehand because at the begining of the treatment they will get you to sign a declaration that you will not go to court for any reasons. But I had talked to a lawyer and the H&G people better know that getting one to sign a declaration like that is itself illegal and they could run into trouble for that.
So, when you go to a H&G Clinic or Dr. Batra's remember that you are paying money for their advertisements only and nor for your treatment. Don't get carried away by the ambience and smart and good looking staff.
I would also request anyone who has come across any authentic cure for Psoriasis to let me know through M2M please.
