Wilson college has a beautiful setting. It is right on chowpatty where students can go during a free period, or break or if they want to bunk classes.
Wilson college is one of the most beautiful edicies I have ever seen. It is more than 150 years old, older than the Bombay university and has beautiful cool rooms and high ceilings where sparrows come and s(h)it.
There are three hostels, two for boys near the college and one for girls. Perhaps that is why there are so many foreign students here as they can stay near the college itself. When I was studying here there were a majority of Gujrat students from East Africa. There were boys and girls from Uganda, Kenya and I had quite a few friends I remember Mridula madhvani who was my partner and who shared so many things with me. She liked my home food while I liked to see her African dresses, sareees etc.
These East African students were all older than us ,local, ones. We used to call some of the boys 'grandpas' since they were much more mature than our other class mates.
The four years as a science student here were great. I remember Prof Kuloor, Prof Joseph (who alte became th Principal), Pof Nabar, Prof Dalal, Prof Joshi, Prof Dhabolkar and others. College days were real fun.
