MUSICOLOR organised a grand musical nite titled ‘Dil Dhoondta Hai – Greatest hits of Gulzar’ at Vile Parle’s Dinanath Mangeshkar Natyagriha to showcase the eminent writers works. The evening featured an ensemble of evergreen classics like *Is mod se jaate hain( Aandhi), Naam gum jayega( Kinara), O majhi re( Kushboo), Aanewala pal( Golmaal), Mora gora ang( Bandhini), Bole re papihara( Guddi),
Woh sham kuch ajeeb thi( Khamoshi), Na jiya lage na( Anand), Aaj kal paon zameen par( Ghar) and the national award winning score Mera kuch samaan( Ijazzat)
among others.
Immensly talented singers like Sarita Rajesh, Gaurav Bangia, Shrikant Narayan, Vrushali Patil and Sagar Savarkar flawlessly rendered these songs penned by Gulzar.
The programme was hosted by Pune based compere Sandeep Panchwatkar, who apart from playing the perfect emcee shed light on the writer’s works and also narrated several anecdotes related to the song gems. He further expounded that b

Amritsar

With dreams to make it big in the tinsel world Gulzar landed in Mumbai and started off as a garage mechanic before joining distinguished filmmakers like Bimal Roy and Hrishikesh Mukherjee as their assistant. One of the highlights of the evening was the splendid rendition of *‘Lakdi ki kaati’ from Masoom by child artistes Muskhan and Shreyesh that won the biggest round of applause. The CEO of the company Ganesh Iyer was felicitated by singer Sarita Rajesh, who spearheads MUSICOLOR.
