Do you have a passion in life!? or don't have one?, feeling caged in society norms?, if you resonate with one of the above written lines or scenarios, go to the nearest theater and book gully boy straight away, it is a important movie in this day and age, it is pivotal film for today's youth, this movie teaches us that no matter how adverse, demanding and against the conditions are if you have that one thing which set your soul on fire and work for it! you can achieve success and happiness, the movie is moving and motivational at so many levels that it will hit you hard to pursue your ambitions, Ranveer singh has killed it, the amount of subtlety he has brought in this character was the need of the hour, you will forget that he is ranveer singh, you will remember him as Muraad, Aalia bhatt as usual has proven it again that she is one of the best actress today, she shines as a possesive girlfriend and also her angst against the social norms her family has imposed on her is understandable and actually justify her rebel behaviour, Vijay Raaz as Ranveer's father us superlative, every other support cast is fantastic too, the strength of Gully boy is that every character is very very well written and each one has a important role to play, apart from Kalki's character you will remember each and every one for a long long time, the one character will sweep you off your feet and will remain with you as much as Ranveer's character is character of MC Sher masterfully played By Sidhant Chaturvedi!, He is the soul of the movie!, Climax could have been a little better, at last I would say its a movie which can change lives, please do yourself a favour and watch it!
