Gully Boy ' apna time ayega '. Review on Gully Boy

Gully boy is an inspirational film directed by Zoya Akhtar, this movie shows the life, dreams also reality of people and especially about younger generation of slum area in Mumbai. The movie revolves around Murad(Ranveer Singh) a young boy who lives in slum area, his family is very poor. Murads parents often fights, his father is a driver who gets married again and brings his new wife home. Murad has a passion for rapping and he likes to write his thoughts on paper and tries to add beats to his poetry. Though his parents want him to work in an office and get a good job, but Murad has his own passion and dreams to chase. Ranveer Singh has done ultimate justice to the role. The way he has done the acting, dialogue delivery, expression, everything is fantastic. Alia bhatt plays the role of Safeena his childhood girlfriend, who is very possessive and supporting to him.

Gully boy is a super motivational movie made on the Mumbai Rapper artists Naezy and Divine, the story teaches to the younger generation how to follow and achieve your dreams. No matter what are the challenges or conditions in life come but if one has will power, effort and dedication he or she can get whatever. Zoya Akhtar has shown her talent through movies such as Dil dhadakene do, Zindagi na milegi dobara, luck by chance, talash etc. With Gully boy she nicely portrays the life and challenges of Mumbai slum area and facts about street rap. All the actors of the movie have performed well. Ranveer singh is just remarkable; Vijay raj who plays his fathers also is a versatile actor and Sidhant Chaturvedi who plays MC Sher also did a good work in the film. Alia bhatt added charm to this movie.

Shankar Ehsan Loy as usual has given great music and all the songs are thought provoking. The song Apna time ayaga and Azadi is doing pretty well in the chartbusters. Direction, cinematography, and music everything is best. The Rap battles which take place between two groups or person is too good and catchy.

Gully boy is really inspirational especially for the youth who sometimes get tired and depressed easily and lose their dreams or passions. The story tells how to reach for your goal of life. Life is not easy for everyone; hard times and challenges must not weaken you from achieving your dreams. Ranveer singh plays the character of Murad very well and you must watch this movie especially with your Youngers.

I watched this movie last week with my kids and I must admit this movie is thought provoking all the songs are beautiful and the lyrics have true meaning.
