Instead of watching the old regular Bolly flicks…I decided to go watch this – Newest American Indian movie!
How cleverly, it’s titled, Green Card Fever.
I m sure that there are people all around the world who have this fever. So if you have this oh so awful fever ~ Watch this movie to get rid of that fever !
It’s a reality check for all those who have it or ever thought about it !
Movie is about an Indian Guy (Murli), who comes to U.s with many dreams and to achieve them he has to get a green card. In this journey, he meets an American Indian Lawyer, (Om), who is not going to help you just because you are an Indian. Then he meets, an NRI Girl, whom he likes and she eventually falls in love too but she doesn’t like Indian guys cause she knows that they are only after the Green Card.
Murli experiences the ups and downs (mostly) of life in U.s. He trusts somebody to get his green card but he is the right guy? Or is he just taking his money?
.::What’s good about the movie is::.
.::It shows reality of the struggle living in U.s.
.::It actually makes you “feel sad” for the Indian Guy.
.::It shows a lot of point of views.
.::Some American Indians make fun of Indians…but when an American makes fun of India, how defensive do we, American Indians get to. That just shows you that we are all Indians.
.::First Indian American Movie (oh hell! First any recent movie) which doesn’t prioritize SEX, doesn’t talk about Indian ‘Booty’, doesn’t talks less of Indian Girls.
.::Something funny that was mentioned in the movie :: How come we have African American, Chinese American, Indian American,…etc…but how come any “white” immigrant is called an American. Y not (the country they are from) American (haha!!)
Movie is very well written. And it’s a pretty thought out movie.
Movie is directed well.
Acting by all is pretty natural. Music (there is only one song) its pretty nice tooo!
Overall, I say that the movie is funny, romantic, realistic, excellent, lovely…..etc.”
Must watch for everybody!
Especially for those who have these dreams set for them and are living in dream that coming to U.s and living that Million Dollar lifestyle is piece of cake. Its not! This movie shows you the dark side…may be its not that horrible but a person needs to have a plan (like a job set here or studying here) to have the dream life. Work hard !
….:::: Bhumi::::….
P.s :: Has anybody seen “Where the Party Yaar?”
I wanna see that movie sooo bad..i m sure it hasn’t released in India…cause its American Indian ….!!!
