I was living happily and then I bought a Godrej techno recliner last year to start worrying. I bought a Godrej product as it was a very good brand name and we have been hearing while we were still kids. Within few months of purchase, it hasn't been working at all and I raised a complaint, for which I received a callback after two days and engineer told me he doesn't know about this product, but can still visit and examine.
I requested him if he doesn't have knowledge, please assign service request to some other engineer. Another two days passed and other engineer visited and examined the product and confirmed that he also cannot repair this and vanished. Till 11 days post that no body bothered to follow up. I called back the customer care number and executive insisted that he can raise new compliant.
On further pushing to escalate previous service request he gave me number of third party service agency to follow up with directly, as he did not have any update on earlier request. I am still not sure what will happen and how many followups it would require.
Sales story wasnt very good either
To start with I selected the product in Delhi Godrej showroom and made the payment, while generating invoice I was told product would be delivered in 3-4 weeks after making full payment, which was little surprising to me in first place as I wasn't told about this while selecting product. Anyways, I kept on following with warehouse and showroom, finally it was delivered in 3 weeks. It took 4 days for Service engineer to come for installation post that.
