Good company. Review on Global Logic

GloballOgic is amognst the most successful and fastest growing 3 rd generation servcies start-ups in the world. This company has grown against all odds since its inception. The company started with the product focus and then moved towards the product services focus in the post dotcom turmoil. It not only did survice the rurmoil came out stronger. This is the fastest growing OPD players globally. This is most uniquely positioned OPD players with delivery capabilities in most starategic outsourcing location of the world, India, China and Ukraine.

Company has grown tremendously and has had its growth pangs like any other growing companies which included wrong senior hires, high attrtion, dilution in culture and a tussle between old and new employees. Inspite of this company has grown year over year and will continue to be the leader in space.

I do agree that middle management layer has been not as effective as it should be and support functions are not as dynamic and agile as they should be in a 3rd generation companies. There are signs of inconsistency in values and culture from dept to dept and from leader to leader.....which is a serious issue to be looked into.

Company has been experimenting with new delivery structure but this is inevitable in a high growth company which is growing at such a lighting speed. Company is highly performance focussed and has been aggressively laying off non performers and border liner......which is important as business domain of OPD is extremely different from donkey work done by other services companies, where there is scope of non performance getting hidden in jungle of bodies.

I have been with company for last 5 years and have had moments of angst and despair as well. But overall its a great company and I plan to continue here for another 5 years for sure.
