The next m.v.p. Review on Gilbert Arenas

Gilbert arenas born on january 6 1982 in los angeles california is a basketball player in the washington wizards team. He can play both a point guard or a shooting guard. Arenas was drafted in 2001 by the golden state warriors out of university of arizona in the second round 31st pick overall. ALthough the warriors didn't have quite the season when arenas joined their team back in 2001, 2002 season. He averaged 10.0 points a game, 2 steals and 3 assists per game and only played around 40 games that season, because he was a rookie.

season 2002-2003 was different for him in the warriors when he suddenly started averaging 19 points a game 6 asists, 2 steals and 4 rebounds a game, just as always warriors coaches, the management have always been idiots, they don't recognize true talent, arenas contract ended with the warriors or neither they asked him to make that contract bigger, so arenas got two offers from two teams one was for the los angeles clippers, the other one was for washington wizards, he decided to go to the washington wizards, because at that time michael jordan was a part owner of the wizards and arenas had gotten some tips from jordan.

IN 2003 his second year in the league, arenas was selected to be the most improved player of the year, arenas had only played 55 games that season he was injured and could only play some games, although he got the most improved player award that season his scoring average fell from 23 points to 19 points per game due to his injuries.

Gilbert enjoyed great season of 2004-2005 averaging 25.5 points game 5 asists, 1 steals and 4 rebounds a game, he teamed up with shooting guard larry hughes who scored 22 points a game that season and was leader in steal as well in that season. HUghes had also played with michael jordan when jordan made a comeback in the 2002 season. They both gave the wizards the higest scoring backcourt duo in the nba and was selected to his first all star game. IN the season 2004 -2005 he guided his team to 45 wins and took the team to the playoff since 1998 after 6 years. arenas quickly became the fan favorite in washington, in the fifth game of the first round playoffs of the eastern conference in 2005 gilbert hit a 16 foot fadeaway as time expired to give the wizards a 112-110 victory over the chicago bulls.

Year 2005-2006 was the biggest accomplishment of arenas when he started averaging 29.2 points a game and lead the nba in total steals were game. He was the fourth in scoring in the nba this season kobe bryant being the first, lebron james being the second. I thought arenas should have been nominated for the mvp award this season also, although steve nash got it this year also. Since feburary 2006, arenas has been averging 32 points a game and 3 steals a gameand have been shooting 49 percent from the field.

Arenas biggest achveiment is on february 25 2006 he scored 46 points in 30 minutes and made a nba record for most points scored in 30 minutes, he has put up 12 - 40 points game and 40 - 30 points games this season. arenas again took his team to the playoffs in 2006, they lost to the cleveland cavaliers, arenas averaged 35 points a game in the playoffs, he is currently leading everyone in points in the playoffs, even though his team lost, nobody has yet toped 30 points a game in the playoffs.

One other thing I like about arenas is he doesn't get mad in anyways when he plays, and is very friendly to the other teams. The day he lost he went in the celeland cavaliers locker room and congratulated the whole team including lebron james. He doesn't do that many interviews or commericals like other superstars do.

Arenas is also the leader in most minuted played in games he gets 43 minutes a game to play.

Gilbert is yet to have a name like people call michael jordan, mj or air jordan, tracy mcgrady t-mac, kevin garnet k.g, but he was recently given a name called president he plays for washington d.c. and is called the east coast assassin. He has the most dangerous moves once he gets around the rim noway to stop him or just foul him. arenas also hold the record for the wizards for msot three point field goals made all time with 529.

season 2006, 2007 will be different for nba arenas is sure to win the m.vp award and he reminds me of michael jordan sometimes with his jumpshots.
