I got shut! Yes I did. I was told very nicely to edit my review(SPEAK with your MOUTHSHUT!).That was polite so I decided to complete my part 2 on websites. Mouthshut is a website too. Right?
*So in continuation to where I left last. here goes.
*Nearly 60 days down the line and a lot of back scratching which must have given the backs a lot of "O"s, I still feel incomplete. Why, you may ask? There are a lot of aspirations going on here. Who hits the first 200? OR is it 250? or is it 500? Is the space long enough to accomodate so many? its just a tryst with the twisted that it allows you to enjoy such a thought! I still have to touch a 100.
*STAR Writers
*The people on Mouthshut.com. They are the people who(supposedly) rule the roost. Dictate the writes and dictate the most reads. Isnt it wonderful that you normally look UP to the Stars. They are up their in the sky. here they are right here with you. and you are BESOTTED! Hold on.
The catch is.** HOW MANY OF THE STAR WRITERS YOU KNOW WRITE ON COMMON TOPICS?
*The answer is they dont(barring a few). They wil write on mundane trivia, they will write on everything out of the daily routine, they will write on books where the percentage read of that book with the common man is virtually a ZERO! They are your STARS. You might go on their reviews and they would remind you that you have at least a few more to go in terms of reviewing their writes but you tell them that they havent been on yours and you will find excuses galore! Thay have been busy(you are not!), thay have a job to do(you are unemployed), thay are aware of it but the network has been horrid to them(your network works all the time). Lame, very .and its true!
What amazes me is the surprising familiarity of these STARS with some normal writers They know the intricate details and not only that they happen to know them personally! Now you may ask how does this happen? It happens because there are a lot of WASTED interests to be taken into account here. The meets that are organised are to get these STARS to get familiar with the lesser mortals, aspiring to be STARS and they gain a lot from here. I have never been party to any such meets but I have read such meets. they all write about who is who and what. REASON? The comon reviewer should know who the star is and what should be essentially done.
Mouthshut is definitely a great site to be on. The STARS here are common. and they mix well too. But they do not. I REPEAT DO NOT really care about you. E.g A certain star has been absent for a very long time from MS and he / she has not only returned but has returned with a huge welcome. Well you think that, yes, you have been on his / her reviews so you will be rewarded with the the STAR on your review page and a VU and also a COMMENT. But guess what happens? What you want does not, instead you see the same id floating around on all else all over MOUTHSHUT shutting you out completely! Strange behaviour you may ask? It isnt. They are STARS. PLEASE lay the RED carpet. and welcome them.
Almost, like a hurricane has hit you, you reel back and say hey so what, I have others. TRUE! They are busy. there alerts do not work. invariably and always. They are STARS.
People(other writers) write about them too. in abundance(including moi, I have refrained from mentioning id's as I am a coward) and they get accolades. The accolades mean that they are told why a particular id is not included, the id deserves it . hey gimme a break. Its my mind I want to talk about it my way! At the end of the day, very few rater and commenters. Its all right you may desist in existence and stop writing but who cares? there are OTHERS as well. Life goes on and you are forgotten. its as SIMPLE as that!
*Review of the DAY!
Anybody can be there. There is absolutely no LAW to say why you are not. But you can be so hang on. You just might reach there. All the **ehandshakes will happen here. You might find a couple of id's which you havent seen on any of your reviews earlier here only then. SO be elated. You are the reviewer of the DAY!
All in all, these are some interesting features of mouthshut which keep you glued to the website and keep you clicking away to glory be. As I am doing in the hope that I may cross a 100 someday on my comment section, I may even get more than 50 raters on my review, OR I may even be the REVIEWER of the DAY! Change of heart you might feel.Nah! its just that you have been reviewer of the day! Do not rejoice beyond that please. Remember, you gotta do all the hard work here. You have to find ways to make your review more asppealing so that people get attracted to you and read you. People give you the VU's so important that you may be the REVIEWER of the DAY and even a STAR!
*Hold your horses. it sounds like a dream come true. but read this.
You have noticed that someone maybe a STAR or a member has been on your review. and hey you dont find them again on your new one. Think back! DID you snub any one of them? Oh you had put a wink there to make your remark blunt and funny on their comment. sad. they have understood what you had actually meant.and Bam! they are STARS or members. YOU have to understand not them. They are the NOMADS of MS. They will be where you dont expect them to be. So be careful what you wish for and what you ask for. It may not come true at all. The people who rule here are people who have set their sights on not making a better reviewer out of you or even a better writer. Matter is that YOU are responsible for your shortcoming and your fame!Mouthshut is an interesting platform because it has HUMAN quality in it. The STARS here are very HUMAN. they err or maybe they dont. BUT TO ERR IS HUMAN. so they get away with everything and you are stuck with your MOUTH SHUT. Isnt it funny.? When you least expect that you gonna do well with a particular review you fail most miserably and when you dont expect it the least. you would do the best. I adore this platform because it gives me a very close insight to such goings on. It also strengthens me from my inside to be better OR be the best. I strive for the later. STARS on your review or not **do NOT be disgruntled, if you write your mind and your mouthshut, believe me you will be there, . right UP there shining bright ike a STAR in the sky and then you will look down upon people and say hey I am where you cannot reach . Well good position to be in my friend. But the moment you say. " I know that you cant reach me. But let me reach you. and spread my light to you>>>" Lo and behold. you shine brighter than the SUN! I just wish that with all the paraphrenalia attached to being an important person on this platform please do not forget that even YOU STARTED IT RIGHT THERE WITH US ALL!
Signing off on my thoughts I would just say this, " better to spread the light that you shine with rather than create a darkness that shrouds you, for you know not who will outshine and who will THROW MORE LIGHT on you and the others."

Also I had promised a reviewer that I wanted to be wicked. here I am! Rate, argue, trash. I am here! This is a forum I love it.
