Will you like to pay for email access? If not, then there is a simple way out.

When you sign up for an ISP, such as VSNL or Satyam or for that matter any other, they will give you a mail id. This mail id can be accessed using their webmail service as well as mail clients. Which means that You should use Your ISP mail account, that goes like yourname@vsnl.com or yourname@satyam.net.in for your personal use. When your account expires, what you do is renew your ISP account, which automatically renews your mail account also.

If you do not surf from home. That is, You surf from cyber cafe or from office like me, What you need is a minimal ISP account, that will be valid for the year. I use a 25 Hour ISP account, only for mailing. I never dial thru that account(I do not need to as I surf from office only, but in emergency, I can use that for dialing from home). At the end of year, I renew that account so that I can continue to use my mail id next year as well.

Yes, It does not give me too much of facilities, such as Block Senders and all that. But my mail client on my machine takes care of that.

What will happen here is the major mail services will loose their loyal customers, as they will start charging a price. Which means, if you set up a mail company and if you can generate income from sources other then subscription fees, you will get people to use your mail services.
