Day by Day online scams are increasing and users are getting trapped in them. I have seen several websites / people online who are mostly frauds. Almost all frauds use attractive offers / schemes to scam you. Their main aim is to retrieve your information and misuse them. Once I seen a person on paytm's facebook page who was a fraud and was attracting people by using " I just got free recharge of 1000 rupess click the link below if you also want to earn ". Clicking the link will redirect you to a fraud site which will ask you to enter your personal information and once you do you . they would steal money from your paytm account. Here are a few tips to avoid such scams:-
Do not share any personal info / account details to a unknown person and at a untrusted site. I would prefer not to share even email to a unknown person.
Make your passwords unpredictable and use tricky combinations. Also remember to change your passwords regularly.
Use Antivirus software as it will prevent you from malicious softwares which might harm your privacy.
4.Keep your computer's firewall turned On as it stops scammers from getting in your PC.
- Do not Open any unknown or suspecious emails.
