MNP. Launched in 2011. So what? This is India, and only in India such things happen..
Reliance CDMA/GSM, BSNL MOBILE, AIRCEL, IDEA ---> the worst service providers in INDIA
---->Do not accept port out request because all of their subscribers want to leave them.
---->"CONTRACTUAL Obligation's" SMS comes from 1909 saying ur request is rejected.
In my case, aapna dhirubai ka second beta reliance cdma company Chennai circle advised me to;
1) Sir please go to Webworld. Ok so I went
2) Sir I have to send a mail to NUNGAMBAKKAM office with your mobile no mentioned so that they can find out if you are bound to any obligations.
3) Sir please move out of the queue there are 500 people more to attend with your problem only.
So MNP is worthless. The above companies simply reject your request.
It takes 15 days to get a new port in code, so 15 days of misery and loss of 20 Rs + petrol kharcha for going up and down to airtel office (or vodafone).
