Slow Claim processing & no Cashless by Star Health

Dear All,


I wanted to let all know about the health insurance company, Star Health & Allied Insurance Company. Do not go for it and they have very pathetic service. I have Star Health policy since last 3 years for my father and I did not claim anything in last 3 years but at the end of 3rd year, my father was admitted into a hospital and believe me experience is very bad. I was very disappointed with their services. They have asked so many queries to the doctors of best hospital and they had just raised so many queries after queries when hospital was responding to them. We had to keep my father in hospital for almost 2 days & wait for their claim approval for CT Scan, further medication. Finally when I have raised the concern, company has asked me to pay for CT scan out of my own pocket for in patient services treatment which was against policy terms and they are claiming faster claim approval in 48 hours with cashless facilities but in realty they have not provided that service finally I had paid money out of my own pocket to Hospital and asked them to proceed with further medication.


I have done all the possible things that are mandatory to move the claim faster but no help from insurance company and they were not even proactive to expedite the claim. Lot of stupid queries are also raised on Pre existing diseases which was part of policy wording.


This was kind of mental harassment of Patient and patient's relative. Agent will tell all good things about it for selling the policy but he cannot even help you when it comes to claim settlement.


So please beware of such bogus company and take appropriate decision.
