They are crooks. I was lured to buy the STB package, with an entry price, which is lower than the annual subscription for the cable TV(Rs 200 pm), during their India launch. But then, within the first month, they switched off, movies. Then select English Channels moved off. And finally, the last straw, they kept only the regional channels alive.
The problem is - none of this was disclosed, at the time of purchase. I guess it is simply because their agents don't understand or don't care, to educate customers. While this may work in the short term, I suspect that none of their initial launch customers, trust them anymore. Avoid Reliance BigTV like a plague. Go with Tata Sky or Airtel Digital TV.
Atleast, they are transparent, though more expensive. However, none of these services, offer individual channel selection, as per TRAI guidelines. I do not want any packages or bundles, mini or micro. I thought Tata Sky ad promised a way out. But when you go to their website, you have to first configure a package and then add bundles. So you end up paying for channels, that you really do not want. Why mislead? Tata Sky folks - if you are listening, do follow the TRAI guidelines.
