I would like to first share some knowledge about the kits available.
There are 3 types of kits:
1.Open Loop Kit- This is a basic manual tuning kit, also called conventional kits.This kit is the cheapest of them all it costs approximately Rs.24000-29000.(Indirect Injection Technology)
2.Closed Loop Kit- This is the semi-computerized kit which is connected to 3 sensors in your car making it slightly more efficient than the open loop kit.(Indirect InjectionTechnology)
This costs between Rs.30000-Rs.35000.
3.Sequential Injection Kit: This is a Fully computerized kit which is connected to all the 46 sensors of your car and uses direct injection technology making it a parallel system to your existing car mehanism.This is 100% compatible with all MPFI cars from Maruti 800 to BMW.(Direct Injection Technology)
This costs between Rs.49000-58000.
Open Loop and Closed loop kit are not 100% compatible for MPFI vehicles and thats why your car will have a pick up drop of 15-20% and in the long run the car engine will face damages.But for people who want to go with budget planning and dont mind he pick up drop, its an ok option.
Sequential Injection Kit is what you get when you buy a car from the showroom.The only difference is that from the showroom, it costs between Rs.70000 - Rs.110000 added to the on road price.
Now most of the sequential injections kits in the market also have differences. All the brands that I know of are only giving 50-60% more mileage than petrol.But Versus Autogas Equipment from Poland has recorded the highest mileages ever in history.Its giving 80-130% more mileage than petrol in city driving and 150-180% more mileage than petrol in highway driving. And this has been tested in all vehicles from maruti 800 to Honda CRV.
