CNG kit for chevrolet Spark

I had earlier written my queries regarding cng installation in Spark chevy. Now I have got it installed and wanted to share my experience and feedback.

I got Tomesseto(Manufactured in Argentina) along with a 14 kg cylinder. It is also having an emulator and a timing advancer, which results in better performance and pickup.

Without AC in crowded lucknow city I am getting 28 km/kg which is fantastic and almost unbelievable( I was expecting it to be 22-25 km/kg) cng is priced at Rs 39/kg in Lucknow which makes running cost as low as Rs 1.40 per km. I will update the AC mileage once I get my car's AC gas recharged. Also Highway mileage would be updated next month.

In a 14 kg cylinder gas filled is usually in the range of 7.5 to 8.5 kg depending upon the pump pressure.

While starting the car in the morning I do it on petrol and drive for around 1 km on petrol itself and allow the engine temperature to go up before switching over to cng, this ensures circulation of engine oil in the engine. I do this whenever I do a cold start i.e. if the car has not been in use for 5-6 hours and the engine temperature gauge is showing the temperature at the coldest.

The drop in power/pickup is negligible and car seems to be smoother to drive. The only drawback is when I shift from petrol to cng using the switch I need to give it a high throttle in neutral otherwise it remains in petrol mode only, some of my friends who got cng fitment done from other fitment centers do not have this problem but then their mileage is lower around 24 km/kg and also their engine's tuning in petrol mode has been increased which I believe would lead to higher petrol consumption.

Your comments, queries and feedback are most welcome & eagerly expected.we should make these reviews more interactive.
