I am having Andhra bank ATM card since 2003. Now I am also having SBH, ICICI, Canara, Mahabank ATM card. As per my experience I would like share the following precautions.
The precautions should be taken while withdrawing the amount from ATM machines:
1) Don’t withdraw the amount during nights/early mornings.
2) Always prefer the ATMs which are in public area.
3) Prefer the ATMs which are having the security person, but most of the ATMs are not maintaining the security persons including STATE BANK.
4) Don’t take any help from strangers/security person while withdrawing.
5) Don’t allow any body to come/stand inside the ATM room.
6) Don’t write the PIN on Card. If card is missing, somebody will enjoy with your card.
7) Register your mobile no with bank, so that whenever you withdraw the amount, you will get the alert.
8) If withdrawn amount is lesser or If you don’t get any amount, but the amount is deducted from your account, immediately inform to the BANK. The contact no’s are displayed inside the ATM.
