About 18 yrs ago when we lived in Dehradun Colony, place which is clean and full of Tree, my mom used to clean house hold items only about 6 months once. Because the items at the home never easily actually attract dust of any type.
Even about 15 yrs ago when we entered Madras again, our house was pretty clean and even the roads wer clean becoz there wer very less vehicles on the road and thou roads wer small, it was organised.
But now, my mom and myself happen to clean up the whole house atleast 1 months once to clear off the dust.! Why this! what wrong!
So here are the Reason I have come across for the Environmental pollution at many parts of India Especially Cities and metros.!
When in my Engineering I have learnt about pollution and the different types of pollution I have known are - Water Pollution, Air Pollution, noise Pollution and Land Pollution.
And most worst Effects are caused due to the first three.
Reason why? -
1) Rise in Population -
Well we cant anything for this. China has now implemented a rule that no family should have more than one child. But here in India, there are still Families who happen to own more than even 3 children.!
So wat happens eventually, everyone buys cars and bikes creating Air pollution and noise pollution as well.
2) Lazy and corrupt Government -
Well may that be the road department or the police or the corporation department, all are lazy. And Corrupted too. What I see is, they only take care of the rapid development at the Epicenter of a City.
Now for an instance, I stay at the border of the Chennai city.
7 yrs ago the drainage department dug up our Street for laying the drainage pipe. So previous good tar road was damaged in this.
Then 2 yrs later they layed a new Road and so we wer very happy.
But then again 3 yrs later, The Water department dug up the Street again for laying the water pipes damaging the road.
Now here not only their any corporation between the city development department but also waste of money.
Its its been about 2 yrs and still road has not been laid up wat happen eventually is, when the Cars and trucks pass by our street, they dust up the street and that cause the house to become dust. This causes the Air and dust pollution.
Not only this, The rule states that no once should bust crackers after 9pm and before 6pm. But there r still people who bust crackers after 10pm disturbing the sleeps and police takes no action. This is because, the person who is busting the Crackers is probably an corrupt politicians associates and so no questions can be asked.! So this eventually causes Noise pollution.
3) Rise in Foreign companies supported by Politicians -
Well today Many industries have come in out Country and even in the Cities. This is a good news for economy but on the other, they actually pollute the land, water and Air. And no one can actually ask them any question because they are indirectly controlled on supported by the Corrupt politicians, agents and police. 4) Plastic and unauthorized burning -
There are still people who actually dont understand the consequences of use of plastics. Because they actually cause land pollution. And worst it gets, when those plastics and other harmful things like Rubber tires are burnt in the bare street creating pollution.
Recently, since this burning is done on the road sides, they form a think blanket of smoke on the road even causing worst Accidents. And the Traffic patrol doesn't even care about these.!
5) Other Unauthorized Pollution -
Well there are many more which actually can not be explained in just one go out here.
But there are now a lots of unauthorized pollution going out in bare public and no one is out there to control it.
Like, the Industrial pollution causing both Rivers and the air to pollute which most dangerous chemicals. Politicians organised Function who set up loud speakers for song which is way about the Recommended Decibels. So, they not only cause noise pollution but also disturb the public. And the police actually supports them!
How Can we Bring this Pollution down -
1) Correct needy Education -
Who need Education about Integration maths and H2SO4 or Micro controllers when people dont have basic knowledge about good and healthy living. What I mean is, Pollution, its reason, causes and consequences should be taught to all First. And most importantly, the education on punishment related to misusing the environment by pollution should be Mandatory.
So that people will understand and bust crackers before 9pm and not after that!
2) Law enforcement should be under direct control for the president. Well it might sound good and but is not that east as it sounds.
But I am sure, if this happens, then the control will be on high and pollution level will controlled to max levels. People, I mean every single one of them, will know the consequences.
3) Grow Trees -
This is the basic of all. Trees are greatest controllers of all types of pollution. So if the govt Cuts one tree, we should plant two.
And the offenders should be prosecuted by law.
4) Understand and think of ur future -
Its just as simple, before proceeding to pollute the Environment, we should think about out future, or at least the future of our kids and do things responsibly.
Verdict - Thou today Environmental pollution have gone out of control, its now in our individuals hands to controlling it and bring efforts to bring pollution down.
"Grow Green and Destroy dust"
