I am just a month old in this site. There are too many positive comments to make. Some of these are:
MS, use their in-house technology ‘SORT’, that seems to be very efficient. I also appreciate very prompt reply. Making changes in software is not that easy but they implement suggestions quite fast.
I was not able to track best reviews of the day. Therefore, I requested MS to make some arrangement so that I am aware of today’s review. To my surprise, I could find a feature in homepage by which one can go through last 30 reviews excluding those five available on the front page. Therefore, there are 35 reviews to read. I do not know, whether same facility was available earlier.
I want to write a review on a product but it is not in the database. Therefore, I wanted to use mouth pad to get the product listed in MS. However, there is a facility by that one can post his review of a non-listed product. The concerned manager will make necessary arrangements to list the product in suitable category and the review is available to the members and opinion maker gets his points. This is excellent. Now one can write a review on any subject / product that need not be a listed product. I hope members will use this feature sensibly.
I liked features like Member Flagged, Mouth Sealed, Hall of Fame, Hot reviews.
Thanks to those who have tried to correct me by not only writing comments but also alerting me by Email.
Introspection always helps to improve further. I want to make some comments and these are:
- Is it necessary to write a review, which is not going to help others? As an example,
Case I - I have a dog and he is very close to my heart. Hence, I write a review on it. Does it help anybody?
Case II - The dog is sick and he survived with the help of special treatment. Sharing this information with others might help someone or it might help to increase awareness. Please write your experience with maximum possible details.
We write similar reviews on the same product or topic. Let us write something different to make the site more interesting. For example, too many similar opinion on Coke, Thumps up, Pepsi.
One may have a bitter experience. It is important to share it. But one bad experience is not good enough to discard that product. One should keep emotion aside while rating a product. Please try to understand others emotion.
I am trusted by someone but this gentleman has not rated any of my reviews. What is the message to me? This is not the way to increase the size of the fan club. I have no intension to hurt anyone but there should be some justification for trusting a member.
To MS management – It is not possible to post a long review in parts under same product name. Will you please look into this problem? I understand, you must have some control but if you can make some changes after taking all necessary precautions.
MS should credit points only to HR, R rating. This will improve quality of writing.
Quite confused the way Best Debut is changing every hour. SORT must be sorting of its own. But I am curious to know the logic.
At the end, I appreciate efforts of Mouth Shut and very proactive members.
