I cannot believe that I have neither heard nor read about this movie on any forums. It is an excellent movie, and falls under the category of'Corporate' and probably'Guru'. If you remember the stock market scams in India a few years back, one person that comes to mind is Harshad Mehta. He was involved in a stock market scam in 1992, and was soon followed by another scam by Ketan Parekh. I was very young when that happened - all I remember is a guy with a moustache, wearing slippers and a plain shirt and pants, and I wondered that if he got so rich in the stock market, why would he not dress better.

This movie is based on Harshad Mehta, only a more sophisticated-looking version. It deals with how he got interested in and changed the face of the Indian stock market, and finally, how he landed in jail. The movie keeps you glued to the screen and you end up admiring the guy and wishing he had more political and monetary support to make his ideas successful. Harshad Mehta was way ahead of his times. In his mind, the Indian investor should make an informed investment decision through research, and foreign investors should be allowed to invest in India. However, the corporate big-wigs who ran(controlled) the Indian stock market for years were not prepared for Harshad's revolutionary ideas, and tried their best to crush him.

Harshad fought back hard but had to yield to the power of money. He ended up in jail, and if there is truth to his story on Wikipedia, died of a heart-attack soon after. The movie reminded me of the days I made a trip to Mumbai stock exchange to check out the after-hours trading with brokers hovering around the building talking on their cellphones, trading till late in the evening. I highly recommend this movie. If you like Corporate and are not intimated by the stock market, it is a must-watch.
