I bought some furniture from Ashley and financed a portion of it using the promotional 12 month no interest if paid in full plan.


I paid on December 6th, noticed still that on December 13th no payment had been taken out of my Bank Account although online it showed a "success" and deducted the amount from my balance. I called and finally after a few tries reached a real person to find out what was going on.


They said I typed in the incorrect checking account # and the my bank did not recognize my checking account #. So a second time I paid online this time on December 14th for two payments because I really want to pay this off as soon as possible. This time I printed up both online payments with the checking and routing numbers showing so that I knew it was correct.


Still, again nothing is coming out of my checking account when I check my Wells Fargo bank account statement online. So I called back again, spoke to a person from India who said I typed in the incorrect account number. By now I am frustrated because I have the print out showing that clearly I typed it in correctly and something is flawed on their end. I asked to speak to a manager and paid over the phone. She was nice enough to waive the phone payment fee(which is 15 dollars I believe!).


I explained to her my frustration and how I had the print out in front of me showing the correct #s so how do I protect myself? she said it had to do with how I deleted the previously typed in checking account number, I had to press the delete key and not the backspace key. What?! So confusing, anyway so I just paid via phone. These ppl have an answer for everything apparently. So, the payment finally went through that way and I also set up direct bill pay from my bank which also went through.


something is very wrong with their online system and I am not sure if they have someone retype in the account number after you have already typed them in on their online payment system but I DO NOT TRUST IT or this company. I was thankful direct bill pay worked there is no way they can say your bank doesn't recognize the checking account number. I am also disappointed in the fact that they can send me an email when a payment has gone through(even though it eventually didn't and was reversed) and NOT send an automated email if a payment does not go through(but I got a letter in the mail stating a payment did not go through conveniently after the due date-good thing I obsessively check my bank statements to see that it didnt go through).


So far though, no late payments yet, so i'll do another review once my entire account is paid off, and that should be very soon!
