I have been to FRI twice or thrice and it has been an enjoyable time. FRI has a very serene ambience; once you are there you fall in love with the greenery and the buildings.
FRI is an institution in the field of Forestry Research in India and it is one of the oldest institutions in the world. It does give a feeling of a world class university; also many movies have been shot here.
FRI also contains a museum on forestry. There are six sections in the museum: Pathology Museum Social Forestry Museum Silviculture Museum Timber Museum Non-Wood Forest Products Museum Entomology Museum
FRI is a treat for the eyes; do visit it if you get a chance.
