Have had a 1.6 SXI for over a year now and never faced any serious problems. There were minor issues like too much noise when going over bumpy roads / potholes, loose glove compartment, rubber beading of the windows come loose etc. Now I have a serious problem - the car just wont start on wet and cold days.
Seems like the starter is not picking up the battery - there is some tripping / switching noise from under the bonnet though. The service guys said that the battery was down and recharged it - but now after a week we had some rain in Pune and the starting problem has come back.
Looks like the starting motor needs to be cleaned / the leads need to cleaned. I just home that the engine is not bad. Any help on this will be really appreciated - you can write to me at bhargava.apurv@gmail.com
