The gift vouchers. Review on Flipkart

I have faced few issues on flipkart gift vouchers and hence wanted to share the review. While in other online shopping websites, once u enter the gift voucher number, it gets credited to your account and you can redeem it anytime when you want, before the expiry date. But in flipkart, you have to keep the voucher number and pin carefully, or better in the email that you have received. Generally the vouchers have one year validity and if you miss flagging the email, or if you have trashed it by mistake, the voucher is gone. I had missed a voucher for 2500 Rs, received as a gift from my friend. When we call customer care, not many knows how to retrieve this. They obviously cannot find thie details as it was purchased by my friend. After 10 months of trials, finally one day they could retrieve the data and I was able to purchase. This could have been much easier and easy if this has the option to add your gift vouchers to your account.

We cannot club gift vouchers with Cash on Delivey COD option. Ad we cannot club two flipkart vouchers for the products. Rather if it was like crediting to your account, the number of gift vouchers does not matter to anyone. We can just add the gift amount and purchase single shot for what ever we want. This helps a lot when we receive the gift vouchers from multiple friends / relatives during a function at home or even for birthdays and anniversaries.

And customer care should be well trained on how to handle such situations of customers missing the card(gift vouchers). Customer care should understand that this is received as a gift and they will not be able to provide so much details. Certain scenarios this might also be an embarrassing scenario. So, if you are looking at purchase gift cards, a big "NO" to get from flipkart.

Regarding offers, better to get the products that does not have any delivry charges added to it. Now they have also added the option of increasing the delivery charges based on the date required for delivery. To avoid these hassles, suggest not to choose flipkart for these kinds of options.

Only when there are lightening deals and heavy offers, suggest you to make the best use of those times and avail the offers with your gift cards(if any). You can compare products if you require to do so.
