Had a very bad experience last week.
It all started when I saw ad somewhere that exchange offer is giving good deals for mobile exchange.
I ordered a le eco le2 phone in exchange of my Moto G. Made payment with credit card since I wanted to buy on emi. Till this point everything was going fine. The order was placed, the product was shipped from chennai to navi mumbai. In the mean time I formatted my phone which was to be exchanged.
Then I was surprised to see the status that my area was out of service area. I immediately contacted customer care and gave them an alternate address for delivery which was in proper town area and in the evening to my utter surprise I a got a message that they cannot deliver the phone to alternate address also and have initiated refund.
I am bit confused by the fact that flipkart dilivered a double door fridge to my home last year and now they are not able to deliver a phone.
My product travelled almost 1500 km from chennai to navi Mumbai without any issue and they could not deliver the product to a place that was 10km from their sorting hub.
I myself own a ecommerece website how a company can afford without completing a sale, then I got their exact strategy. By offering deep discount they lure the customers to make order and their marketing team knows that now a days almost all people by phones on credit-card to avail emi facility. So most of the orders will be prepaid. As in my case it took 7 days for product to reach me and get cancelled and another 7 days to get refund.
So for 14 days they get interest free money now guess they had similar 10000 transaction. It becomes a huge amount.
Highly dissapointed with the customer care service too.
