Today it is said that he is one of the most choosy actors of Bollywood. His films rarely hit the theaters and if and when they do, the media goes crazy. No doubt, he is one of the best actors we have in Indian cinema today but even "Mr. Perfectionist" has his share of fims that he should not have been a part of. Here is my take on some of the Aamir films that one could give a pass.
1) Afsana Pyar Ka: Same old stroy -Boy meets girl college romance. Initial fights and then the couple fall in love, families disagree and so on.You get the picture.
2) Deewana Mujhsa Nehin: After the Aamir-Madhuri pair was hit in the film "Dil", producers signed these two for some more films. This film however, was a big flop. Aamir plays a spectacled photographer obsessively in love with one of his models a.k.a. Madhuri. She is not in love with him and is planning to marry someone else and all hell breaks loose.
3) Mela: Aamir and Twinkle Khanna in a village backdrop. A village bandit takes a fancy for our heroine and she attempts suicide, but is rescued by our hero and the rest is history.
4) Jawaani Zindabad: This film tried to preach against the Dowry system, which is a good theme. But the script was extremely weak and it looked like the director and the actors had no clue of what they were doing.
5) Tum Mere Ho: Aamir plays a snake charmer and Juhi plays a village belle and the two fall in love. Her family is against it and .Do I need to say more .except avoid it all costs.
