These are, according to me, the five worst of all the bikes that ever shamed the indian roads.
Bajaj BYK: Yucks! What a bike! Should we call it a bike at all? I was one of the(un)lucky few who chanced upon a test ride of this "bike". Believe me guys, those were the worst ten minutes of my life on any bike. The thing simply does'nt understand the word handling. The skinniest tyres ever witnessed on wheels. Ricketty gearbox, a so called "engine", it had it all. Of all the other misadventures of Bajaj, this surely takes the cake and the bakery too.
LML Freedom: Even SHAHRUKH could'nt sell it.
Need I say more? It lacked everything. Man! Why can't we bulid good boxes? A very weak engine. Add a pillion to it and it huffed and puffed all the way. And on top of all that they rolled out another version called "Topper" with a dozen different colours. An whoever would buy a "fluorescent" bike? If not for anything else, it certainly did colour up my morning newspaper. The most clourful and funniest thing on two wheels ever.
3: Kinetic Boss: These guys got Kapil Dev to sell it. Nope. Could'nt do it. Maybe they should spend that money in some R&D. One of the many failures of Kinetic. All the vital things sucked. Engine, gearbox, handling and mileage. Add to it the neglect towards styling meant the bike had to go. Last seen with Reliance stickers on it. God be with you Reliance guys.
4: Kinetic Velocity: Do you remember it guys?
I have rarely seen this bike on roads. Just so rare. Maybe just 4 or 5 sightings of this marvel.
Everthing sucked about this bike.
Extinct species.
5: TVS Centra: Whatever they were thinking when they building this one. Sheer lack of vision by the TVS guys. You can't expect great performances from a 100 cc bike.But then, we indians need good mileage. Centra was launched using this very key as its strength. It falied, because of this very aspect. I have a friend with his Centra whose present day average clocks to something about 35-40 kmpl. Need I say more?
