These guys, about whom I am going to write about are the biggest contemporary stars, commanding a huge fan following and a burgeoning pay packet. However, according to me these guys do not know the ABC of acting. Or maybe they know just the ABC. Nothing beyond that.
The worst five, ruling the roost, are listed alphabetically. No personal biases is involved. Objectively speaking, they are al equally bad. So here we go:
Amitabh Bachchan
He is supposed to be the Shahenshah of Bollywood actors. If that is true, then I shudder to think of the fate of Bollywood. In his earlier phase, he would imitate Dilip Kumar blindly. His death scene in that dumb film Deewar was a straight imitation of Dilip Kumar in Ganga Jamuna. Pst ... Pst … Dilip Kumar too is a terrible actor and he would also have made this list had he been top of the charts these days. After that Bachchan then took to copying legends like Marlon Brando and Al Pacino in films like Agneepath. These days he is busy goofing up in movies like Armaan, Boom (boob would have been an apt name for this flesh show) and Baghbaan.
Aamir Khan
He is more of a salesman these days, selling Coke and what not. It is reported that he is charging a whopping 7 crore for the under production The Rising. This guy is a pathetic actor – no modulation in his dialogue delivery, almost no expressions. He relies a whole lot on gimmicks. And yes, if one is to believe a report in Mid Day, Lagaan is rip off of a Hungarian film of the 1960s. Aamir Khan is also a roving eye and is supposedly the father of Jessica Hines’ child. So, after Prakash Mehra, even Aamir Khan has produced a Lawaaris.
Ajay Devgan
Another actor who is extremely over rated. All he does in the name of acting is tilt his head sideways and mumble his dialogues incoherently. Whether it is Bhagat Singh, or Zameen, or Zakhm, this guy just does the same act over and over again.
Hritik Roshan
Well, he has just replaced Govinda from this list, simply because Chi Chi is no longer an actor – he is a human vegetable, going through the motions of life unconsciously, listlessly. Hritik Roshan, people said was wonderful in KMG. Yes, I agree with that but this was simply because this guy was playing himself in that movie – a mental retard. Come on, he was simply terrible in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and yet the nation and its neighbourhood went crazy about him. After that it was simply downhill all the way.
Shahrukh Khan
Will the government of India ban this abominable creature from Mars? He is the most horrible punishment to have ever been inflicted on Mankind. Whether it is DDLJ, Ram Jaane, K3G, Duplicate, this gay (pun intended) actor hams it up supremely. And then he has the balls (well actually you do not need balls for this) to say, “I’m the best.
