She Walks In Beauty !!!!

Beauty is a confusing term and the best sentence associated with beauty is possibly ::

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder

According to me , the eternally pretty five women are :

Madhubala

sheer beauty endowed with magical eyes, flawless skin, great figure and lustrous hair. Not a very great actress , but a sure drop dead beauty.

She only had to sizzle to the tunes of aaiye , meherbaan or ooze wet sensuality in ek ladki bheegi bhaagi si to drive anybody crazy.

Waheeda Rehmaan

Quiet, mysterious and the perfect epitome of a coy yet strong woman. Never have I seen her jumping or with full of energy, she is forever restrained and a little controlled in her actions, dialogues and performances . But this five foot seven inches woman with deep dark eyes (that spoke volumes) and a chiselled face , not only had enviable twinkle toes but also an unmatched acting prowess.

Nutan

Not a classic beauty , but tall , enigmatic and full of fleeting expressions all over her face during any scene. She could be the flirting teenager in Tere ghar ke saamne or play the role of a convict or untouchable in Bandini and sujata with ease. Her beauty lay in her innocence and facial expressions.

Hema Malini

She was one example of classic beauty with or without makeup. Extremely beautiful eyes, round face and petal like lips. She was equally good at dancing and acting and ruled the filmy world for decades as the dream girl. Check her out in that song with Dharmendra kal ki haseen mulakat ke liye, raat ke liye...hum tum juda ho jaate hai... She looked stunning !

Madhuri Dixit

From pimples to pure grace, from an awkward Dayavan to a mature Devdas , she has really evolved into a wonderful performer with great screen presence and a one million watt smile. She may not be the natural beauty , but with the right makeup and clothes, she can sizzle the screen with her charm.

====================================================

There are many facets to beauty. It can be looks or features or sometimes just the body language. I also feel beauty can also be sensed in some form of sensuality or vulnerability.

To add a few more names justifying my statements ,

I find Zeenat aman and Parveen babi equally attractive and pretty. Nothing to beat the glowing Zeenat in that white gown with silky hair strumming a guitar with a chura liya hai tumne jo.....

Talk of being vulnerable or innocent , Dimple sure looked beautiful in Bobby, so did Rajni sharma in Baalika Badhu (where she plays the child-bride of Sachin).

This review is not complete without one film stunners who have never looked the same before like Ash in hum dil de chuke sanam, Rekha in Silsila, the young Hema in Andaz and Farah in yash chopra's Faasle.

Also in the same league one could put:

=======================

~ the dumb (no pun intended) Jaya Prada in Sargam

~ a mature Sharmila Tagorein Grihapravesh

~ a serious Smita Patil in Aakhir kyon

~ and a nubile, middle class pretty Tina Munim in Baaton Baaton mein.

I could go on and on, but including too many women would go against the original review of mentioning just five pretty women. I already feel , I have included many more, so I stop here.
