Lets play a small who’s who trivia thingy here at MS, and see if you guys can pick up the movies in question. These scenes and many more wonderful moments make them surely a gem and hence their names are proudly collected here in my review on some of the worst made movies, which went on to rule the marquee. Movies are meant to entertainment and to make the masses forget their dull lives and have a few moments of carefree abandon and mirth, but still some logic, some semblance of a story and a little bit of editing would do no one harm would it?

So here goes: -

Movie No 1

Clue 1 The villain races ahead on a land cruiser and the hero gives chase on hold your breath, ladies and gentlemen a state of the art rickshaw, and boy does he chase, not only does he manage to catch up with the goons, he also catches hold of their boss and takes him to task.

Clue 2 a professor who does nothing but spit, a chemistry teacher who wears nothing but low cut blouse(sic) and an army officer who has nothing better to do then to play agony uncle to kids in distress. Gosh him me a break, will you!

Movie No 2

Clue * a stickler of a dean, chirpy as a cuckoo of a teacher and a band of carefree kids who do nothing but woo girls and run away from hostels at the drop of a hat, a damsel dressed as a ghost who knows nothing better then to get drenched in the rain and sing stupid songs while leaves fall all around. To add to the drama set the movie in exotic locales, dress up the heroines in clothes small to be handkerchiefs, make the teacher play violin when he is supposed to teach kids and you have a winner at hands.

Movie No 3

Clue 1 cut copy paste the formula from a hit Hrishikesh da classic, jazz it up a little by setting it up in New York and dress up the ambience with a sparkling dazzle of Swarovski jewels.

Clue 2 a nanny who does nothing but crib and quarrel, a mom who has her hands full with hotel and home to keep in shape, a friend who does nothing but run after babes and an unassuming angel who walks into her life to make it oh so romantic, only to leave her high and dry, some classic ham sad scenes at the end, while the lady in her mid ages is shown narrating the story in flash back at the end, gosh what a waste!

Movie No 4

Clue * a 40 something truck driver who falls for a 18 something college girl, who is left behind in the turmoil of partition, marries her and is leading a happy life, until one day he decides to take her picnicking to her parents home in Pakistan, where he is humiliated, branded a kafir and taken to task. To end the drama he flees in a battered down army convertible truck and a mail wagon with her sweetheart in tow. Fill it up with Pakistan bashing and a fisticuffing hero and bingo, dance your way to box office glory.

Movie No 5

Clue 1 a hero who likes nothing better then to move around bare-chested, a heroine who is too unassuming a wife to know her man is cheating on her, the woh in her life who is hell bent on stealing her husband from her, only to be saved and rescued by a friend who loves singing *mirchi *songs dressed as Punjab da puttar.

Clue 2 heighten the drama by making the kids sing stupid lachrymal  songs appealing to her papa to come back, phew this is too much.!

Movie No 6

Clue 1 a stupid wife who would do anything to get money, even share her husband with another lady. The husband is the producer’s brother and plays a dumb character who doesn’t mind sleeping with someone else to raise money for his wife. The wife is the real wife of the producer of the movie, gosh too much complications here.!

Clue 2 a dumb support cast who plays equally stupid jokes like abba dabba chabba while the main players sing songs on top of 100 floor buildings in America praising their love and what not.!

Movie No 7

Clue 1 have a steamy lead actress who happens to be the hero’s real life love interest also, shoot the entire thing in a few days flat in Ooty, give it an eerie touch, have lots of suspense cum thrill cum ghostly angle to it, fill it up with some cool songs and we are done.

Clue 2 the hero sleeps with another babe, realizes his folly, comes back to his wife, who wants to leave him but cant coz only the sati savitri can save the husband from the evil spirit.

Movie No 8

Clue * get inspired from *fast and furious, Indianize the theme, have a cool gang who loots banks with the acceleration of bikes. The good guy has a lovely wife who steams up the screen with her two-inch clothes and romantic stupidity and is supported by a bike prodigy who knows how to break the speed barriers.

Clue 2 chase the goons, pay them back in their own medicine, the villain who is smart enough to loot banks dime a dozen but is dumb enough not to realize what is the good’s guy henchmen doing in his gang, well well well give me a break will you!

Movie No 9

Clue 1 a business tycoon and a disciplinarian who will not compromise on his principles, an elder son who falls for a belle from Chandani Chowk and a younger son who is packed off to a boarding school, only to return home and find his elder bro is gone, that’s the plot.

Clue 2 the younger son, dabboo, promises his sad to death mom he will bring back bhaiya, travels across seven seas to appease and cajole his brother to come back home, not before he has serenaded his lass with his charm and dancing skills. Lots of emotions, melodrama, tear jerking scenes, dazzling display of wealth and grandeur makes up for the right masala for the unassuming audiences who make a beeline to the ticket counter.

Movie No 10

Clue 1 debut film for both the hero and the heroine, proud moment for a doting papa, launch of his son into Bollywood, in house production team, me will produce and direct, son will act and brother will give the music, all in the family you see.

Clue 2 Revisit the oft repeated story line of Karz, Mehbooba, Karan Arjun and so many others, shoot the movie in exotic locales of New Zealand and Seychelles, bas ho gaya, what else is needed.

Unbelievable are the stories told by our filmmakers and equally amazing is we people who make such movies hit. If such movies can be hit, god even I can be a movie director, I need my chance to bore the masses as well, lol!

P.S. Those are fairly famous recent movies and the clues should make it too easy to guess, leave your answers in the comments section. Anyone who doesn’t get all ten right, will not be spared, so attempt at the risk of your life, lol, just kidding. Will post the answers real soon in case someone misses them out.
