This review is mainly for those who have a knack of running away from maths or you can say maths running over their head. The idea of writing this review came to my mind when I was going through a review of nenners where she mentioned of her fear towards maths. She is not alone. You will find many in this part of the world. Just a day before maths exam their blood pressure doubles, ghostly figure starts appearing in front of their eyes, they start winking, trembling everything. A maths phobia has been developed in their mind which needs to be eradicated . The main thing, I believe, lacking in them is the APPROACH. Approach of doing sums. If the approach of doing sums is correct, believe me maths is a very beautiful subject.

Now in this era of internet, maths has become a very interesting subject. Today there are lots of scintillating and sparkling maths websites. Apart from getting solution of each and every problem, you will find discussion forum, problem of the week, maths puzzles and many more things. Its very much practical and make you involved in it. Here, I am just going to elaborate 4 of my best maths websites. So get over it and enjoy:

Note: 1) These websites have not been taken out from any of search engines. These are out of my personal collection of several websites over the years.

2) These are not only for students. Even teachers and parents will also find these very much useful.

1) https://mathforum.org: First and foremost, let me tell you that this site is mainly divided into 4 parts i.e* students center, teachers’ place, research division, parents & citizens part.* Then there is everything there from maths tools to problem of the week, maths library to maths formulaes, maths solution to discussion groups. The journey is endless. The site is not colourful but having a decent speed much to the pleasure of the visitors. Just go there and navigate how useful this site is for everyone of you.

2) https://mathhomeworkhelp.com: this site is different from the earlier one in the sense that their contents are very much different from each other. The best feature which I like of this site is maths dictionary and maths quotations. The maths dictionary is very rarely found and believe me its very helpful. As far as quotations are concerned, its really cool and a great pleasure to go through. The other cool links present here are chronology of mathematicians, math puzzles, cool site of the day, the pi page, mathmania, fun with numbers etc. Just go through it. Let me write some of the cool quotations I went through here:

*“   The greatest unsolved theorem in mathematics is why some people are better at it than others.”

“The concept of number is the obvious distinction between the beast and man. Thanks to number, the cry becomes a song, noise acquires rhythm, the spring is transformed into a dance, force becomes dynamic, and outlines figures.”

“It has been said that figures rule the world. Maybe. But I am sure that figures show us whether it is being ruled well or badly.”*

3) https://mathisfun.com:  This corner is mainly for young buddies. Still anyone can have fun there. Alike mouthshut, its also having lots of members who share among themselves lots of jokes and puzzles. I enjoy that part very much. Apart from that there are icosahedron, woksheets, quick maths quiz, games, puzzles etc. Some of the jokes are:

*“How many mathematical logicians does it take to replace a lightbulb?

None: They can't do it, but they can prove that it can be done.”

“There once was a man from New Ealing

Who hopped on a bus bound for Jealing.

It said on the door:

Don't spit on the floor,

So he turned round and spat on the ceiling!”*

4) https://mathinsite.bmth.ac.uk: Seems strange. Ya it’s a bit strange. Although this site is mainly designed for engineering students, +12 students can also gain something out of it. This site consists of mathematical resources like java applets and related worksheets for deepening mathematical understanding. The best feature of this site is its screencam movies. Other than this there are diagnostic quiz help, quick links, theory worksheets and various different applets. Engineering students will really like it.

That’s all. Hope I didn’t make it boring. Once I went through a website which used powerpoint slides to explain the problems. I really enjoyed that stuff but unfortunately lost the name of the website.

Anyway, do not forget to comment, otherwise its my curse to you that your maths exam will be very bad. HEHE
