FIRST FIVE 2006-2007

It's the end of one more fall season, and telly awards are in the pipeline. Everyone has their favourite different genre so I'm only gonna include mainstream entertainment shows in the list.

HERE WE GO

  1. Comedy Circus:- This is one of the very few original indian reality formats.  The show roped in 7 celebrities and paired them with 7 stand-up comedians. In each episode the pairs dressed up in fantasy and quirky costumes, spoofed people from all walks of life and made dozens of hilarious quotes all to get the maximum laughs from the audiences, judges and to not be laughed at after catastrophe of Comedy Ka Badshah hasega india. The show is good enough to be watched each week.

4.BIGG BOSS:- It's the Indian version of CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER. The show had 15 celebrities isolated in a lavish house. The stars doing their own chores, trying to pull together to stay in the house and not be evicted. They were guided and commanded by the voice of BIGG BOSS who gave them challenges every day of the week. The show though deliberately manufactured was exciting to watch, it generated a great deal of controversies. The show re-introduced to the public the real amazingly amusing Rakhi Sawant, sweetheart Carol Gracious and many other celebrities.

3.Jhalak Dikhla Jaa:- Be it salsa, cha-cha or jive, the contestants and choreographers of this Indian version of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing and ABC's Dancing with the Stars made these dance forms familiar to us as creme de la creme when it comes to dance. The show starred 8 celebrities shaking a leg with their choreographers. The show was a lot of fun to watch but could've been zanier.

2.Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein:- Joining the little group of Indian Dramedies is this show with the extremely lifelike characters, situations and locales. The show is set in the society of Colonel Guni where people of different cultures and ages reside and face the good times and the bad times together. Here everyone has a story to tell. The storylines include various issues of the society, a sweet and slow paced love story, and various other slice of life stories peppered with a great deal of humour.

  1. Baa Bahoo aur Baby:- Still going strong is BBB, even better than it's previous year.  It's a dramedic soap about a big family, which is very cliche but what differs it from others is it's lifelikeness and so many factors which I can't describe. You can surely identify with the characters and their situations, they are idiosyncratic but that doesn't take away their next door quality from them. The show teaches you a lot about God and life. It's a perfect blend of comedy and drama. The show has comprehensed a lot of issues and storylines in this past year. The actors have got better, and every story arc is gripping and genial.

HOPING TO HAVE EVEN BETTER SHOWS THIS YEAR
