Writing on this topic is a highly Herculean and Himalayan task. I have read thousands of reviews on MS in the last 3 months or so and I’ve now spent nearly 2 days trying to pick and choose from the list of my “Top 20” reviews on MS. Let me then get down to work right away..

1.General Thoughts on Mouthshut – “Celebrating writing of my 50th review” – Venchasa

This tops my all time best reviews list for several reasons. What strikes one on reading it is the simple usage of language coupled with a straight-from-the-heart outpour of feelings. Secondly, I liked the brevity and scope of the review. Mr. Dharma has dealt with everything on MS…his opinions on reading reviews, writing reviews, basis for his Trust list, the rating methodology followed by him and finally about the Community Centre. He has, summed up very succinctly, the essence of MS in it’s entirety in this review. Each and everyone of his reviews have been a great learning experience for me. They go on to show his tremendous knowledge base in various spheres and some others highlight his immense maturity levels. He’s my nomination for “The Best Male Writer on MS” Award!

2.Writing an Impressive Covering Letter – “Introduction to yourself” – jilmil

It’s a totally dry topic and I would probably have taken 5 days to think of what to write and another 10 to finish my review on this topic. Pallavi has done a great job on this topic. She gets down to the crux of the matter and advises on how to write a good covering letter when applying for a job. She covers what kind of introduction to give under different scenarios and proceeds to give a very short and crisp format of a typical covering letter. She only wrote about 3-4 lines in each paragraph but manages to put across all the important points very effectively. She ends by giving some very meticulous and important tips…check this one out! My nomination for “The Best Female Writer” Award on MS!

3.Mohammad Azharuddin – “The Great Escape” – Asyis

Azhar bhai is probably one of the most despised celebrities in India today and since MS is a subset of India, the same logic follows here. Mahesh has written this review in a totally different style by presenting Azhar’s career in the form of a movie. Mahesh might not have a great command over English and yes…some critics might happily point fingers saying that there are plenty of typos grammatical errors in his reviews. He still manages to get his views across wonderfully and has an actively imaginative mind too. Though this review does not take any sides, it is an impartial and unbiased look at the life and times of Azhar. I discovered the best part of the review only when I reached the last paragraph…and had a very hearty laugh over it! Mahesh is my nomination for the “Most Patriotic MSian” Award (check out his E-mail ID and you’ll know why!)

4.Amul Butter – Priceless!!! – Achougoo

For long Ameet has been considered by many to be a strict “Mr. Technology” and I know how much he hates being referred to by that name! He has this sense of a deep subjective analysis on any topic that he writes. No half baked information and no gibberish in his reviews! They’re all a goldmine of information! Though this review was supposed to be on Amul Butter, he has taken the opportunity to cover all of Amul’s products in their entirety along with their advertising campaigns and Brand positioning. He exhibits this uncanny ability to think and write much beyond the scope of this particular topic very well, thereby giving complete information about the company and its products. My nomination for “The Master Analyst of MS” Award!

5.Artificial Intelligence - Artificial Intelligence: Boon or Curse? – suyog

Link: (https://mouthshut.com/readreview.php?rid=19346&r=1)

In my humble opinion, there’s no one on this site to beat Mr. Venchasa and suyog when it comes to writing highly effective and pertinent reviews straight from the heart. Boy, Was I blown away by the sheer thoughts expressed by Suyog in this review! While most others stick to just narrating mundane aspects like the story and performances of the cast, Suyog has gone beyond all that and asked some very relevant questions as only he could have. A must read for all movie lovers, whether or not you actually liked the movie! My nomination for “The All-rounder of MS” Award!

It was a very onerous task selecting these five reviews…I actually wanted to go in for 10 but I’ve promised Farid and a couple of my other well-wishers that I’ll abstain from writing “Epics” henceforth. I'm therefore keeping this short and sweet.

Err..the Award ceremony was only to add a li'l bit of spice to the review...I request the Nominees to take the ceremony sportingly, Thanks ;-)
