As there is another category for Animated movies, I would only rate non-animated ones. If you have any complaints or suggestions, do send me your helpful comments. I will reply them all.

In this world of sex and violence, one sometimes imagine, when can he can respite from all this evils.

When one goes to a cinema hall, he imagines whether is it the movie to watch with his family, or bring his kids along!

Where our children's minds are filled with WWF violence, extreme action and foul languages, they need a good cinema. Some of our Hollywood friends have dished out some memorable family films, which we call'Children's' film. I still watch them and enjoy every bit of the movie.

I have thought of some of my favourite family movies. I will now list them one-by-one:

5) Honey! I shrunk the kids

You will find more Walt Disney movies in my list. This movie was released in the 80's and had a sequel called'Honey! I Blew Up the Kid'. But I like the first part where a scientist invents a machine from which he can shrink stuff. But accidentally, four kids get shrunk. They are swept out of the house, and they now have to make a long journey in a jungle of'grasses'. The scientist then comes to know that his children are shrunk and starts to find them. The fun part then begins. The search rescue of the father and the journey of the children. It's all very exciting as they face many adventures in between. This is a movie, which will be enjoyed by the whole family.

4) Babe

Universal studios brings to us a talking pig who thinks he is a sheep dog! After watching this movie, you will like to turn to a veggie! This movie depicts a journey of a pig called'Babe' by the animals, and'Pig' by the farmer. At first, he is separated from his brother and brought by a farmer in a barn where he meets a bit*h who becomes his mother. Slowly, Babe thinks he can do anything the dogs do. He succeeds by becoming friendly with the sheeps and become one of the best sheep'pig'.

The movie's special effects showing animals talk was great. They really showed the emotions. I also liked a duck who thought he was a rooster and croaked every morning, so that he gets the importance of the rooster and do not get cooked! And there are many other animals, which the whole family can enjoy. I highly recommend this movie to all. Also, its sequel.

3) Baby's Day Out

From the makers of Home Alone, this one too is highly adorable. Little Boo Boo is kidnapped by three goons for a ransom. Boo Boo escapes and does everything his maid showed him in a book. He goes to a mall, to a zoo and to a construction site, making the goons stupidly following him.

The goons are sent for a ride as the baby even succeeds to trap them and get handed over to the police! The best part in the movie was the whole scene in the construction site. The performance of every actor was good. The direction was nice as well. I am waiting for its sequel to come out, where the baby goes to China. This is what they have planned.

2) Home Alone - I & II

This movie has to be there when it comes to children movies. Macaulay Culkin plays the main role in both the parts. How he foils the plan of two thieves to rob his house, is the main theme. He uses many different, innovative and effective plans to defeat his enemies.

In the first part, he stays entirely in his house, but in the second part he goes out in New York and do a lot of spendings. This was the movie from which Macaulay Culkin shooted to fame. Now he is not seen anywhere!

But talking about the movie, this one will satisfy your need for a good movie.

1) Harry Porter

Many lists will have this movie missing. But this one is number one on mines. It is based on the novel of Harry Porter, of which I was an ardent reader.

The story is about a guy who becomes the greatest wizard ever. With the help of some of his friends, he solves some mysteries and achieves his objective. There is lot of magic, colours and fun in this movie. It has ran to packed houses in many countries. It is beautifully carved movie with some breath-taking special effects.

It should be on the must-see list of many of the people. Just watch it!

There are several other movies who deserve a mention. They are:

*Mary Poppins

Jumanji

Blank Cheque

Richie Rich

Free Willy

Flubber

Matilda

Dennis The Menace*

and many many more.
