I am here to list five of my favourite 100% or partially animated full-length movies. I would try to avoid the movies already listed by other people

''I would prefer making 5 action movies, then make a single animated one. It's a very tough job''

- Francis Ford Coppola

(Godfather fame)

Yes, indeed, it a very tough job to make a 90-minutes, full-length animated movie.

Great legends like Walt Disney, Hanna-Barbera, Warner Brothers, Chuck Jones, etc. have given us some real classics. They are the pioneers of this unique form of cinema, which is enjoyed by every genre of people.

Everything's possible in Animated movies. You can make a person fall from great heights without a scratch, or can make a feather as heavy as a bull-dozer. You can extend your creativity to its extent.

These animated movies are filled with colour and music, and they can make you laugh as well as cry. They can bring in human emotions in animals, and make humans do animal antics!

Some 1000 animators are involved in making a 2-D Animated movie. Computers have now replaced the traditional cell animation. But the charm still exists.

Now, for let's back to the real job. I will be listing my top 5 animated movies. I have tried to make the list unique, and have not included movies already listed in other opinions. So, just enjoy the list.

Here's the countdown:

5) Shrek

A green, ugly ogre with his oversmart donkey, comes to the rescue of a beautiful princess. From the house of Dreamworks Inc, this movie tells us that beauty is skin deep, and loves does not depends on how a person looks!

It is a 3-D animated movie with all the emotions involved. The beautiful Cameron Diaz gives the voice for the princess. It is a well-carved movie fit for all members of your family. Just get them along at the nearest theatre.

Highly enjoyable movie.

4) Antz

Again a movie from Dreamworks Inc., is a story about an ant called Z who is a worker ant, but wants to be a soldier ant. It is a story of a small ant's endeavour who tries to become The One amongst the millions.

The movie do has a moral that whatever you may be, however small you may be, you can always achieve yu want. Z not only becomes a great soldier, but also gets to marry the princess.

Voices of Woody Allen, Sylvester Stallone, Jennifer Lopez, etc. adds to the zeal. It is a 3-D Computer Animated movie with great technical abilities.

A hard worked-out movie.

3) Who framed Roger Rabbit?

Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump fame) gives us a truly adorable movie. It was a successful experiment to bring in toons and humans to act together.

Bob Hoskins plays the role of a toon detective who is out to save Roger Rabbit and Maroon Toons Inc. from the clutches of Christopher Lloyd who plays the role of the villain.

Many Acme toons feature in this movie. Humans acting with toons gave a great experience. It is a very colourful movie, with brilliant direction.

Truly a ride!

2) Space Jam

Michael Jordan acts with all the Warner Bros. toons, which include Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, and many more.

Made on same lines as Who framed Roger Rabbit, this movie is a touch better in technical lines.

The story revolves around a basketball game that the Looney Toons have to win against a team of aliens. The aliens capture the talents of top basketball players, and are now capable of beating Looney Toons. But Looney Toons take the help of Michael Jordan and ultimately win the match.

The Green Room effect is extensively used. It is a very expensive movie (half of the amount would have gone in the fees of Michael Jordan). Again the glitz and colours are throughout the movies, making this movie a joy ride.

One of my favourites!

1) Monsters Inc.

From the house of Walt Disney comes a movie, which got me rolling with laughter.

It is a movie about a company where monsters are manufactured to fear people out of their daylights. But a monster gets friendly with a little girl, which is against the rules of Monsters Inc.

Some brilliant 3-D animation and great background voices, and some real weird monsters makes this movie special.

Go watch it!

Some other movies also deserve due credits:

Lion King

Toy Story

Jungle Book

Aladdin

Final Fantasy

and many more...

I think I have succeeded in giving an unique list. Send in your comments as I just love them.

Happy Reading, guys!
