Hollywood , famous for high visual effects and groun breaking action sequence is the house of the world finest ACTION movies. Their action sequences are copied through out the world .There is a huge list of strong action movies but creating a list of best 5 is a hard task and I recomend following movies for great action weakend:
1) THE MATRIX: The movie that brings step motion camera techniques to new hieght and wasrated one of the best action movie ever made able to business a $180 million in america. The cast include KEANU REAVES( neo/ anderson) , CARRIE ANNE MOSS( trinity) and LAURENCE FISHBURNE( morphius ). directed by ANDY and LARRY WACHOWSKI ,the story around a computer generated dream world and the agents manages 4 oscar nomination and 4 wins
2) TERMINATOR 2 , THE JUDGEMENT DAY: The sequel to the 1984 action movie icon TERMINATOR ,grossing over $250 million in USA bring viewers to a ground breaking visual effects by giving them a shape changing villain ROBERT PATRICK( T-1000) and a hard solid metallic cyborg hero ARNOLD SCHEWARZNEGAR (T-100) and the hard action between them in completing thier job i.e. arnold has to save EDWARD FURLONG( JOHN'O'CORNOR) and her mother LINDA HAMILTON( SARAH CORNOR) . Directed by JAMES CAMERON manages 6 oscar nomination and 4 oscar wins.
3) SAVING PRIVATE RYAN: The movie brings world war 2 at our houses as shows one of the best D-DAY sequence ever made in a movie. The story moves around a team of nine army man assigned a task to risk thier lives and bring back MATT DAMON(james ryan) back safely and the perfect battle. The cast includes TOM HANKS, MATT DAMON, TOM SIEZMORE and VIN DIESEL. directed by STEVEN SPIELBERG the moie manage several oscar nomination and 5 oscar wins including BEST DIRECTOR.
4) THE LORDS OF THE RING, THE RETURN OF THE KING:The second sequel for the film bring epic settle in pre-historic myth at theatre ,THE LORDS OF THE RING, FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING and THE LORDS OF THE RING ,THE TWIN TOWER. the story moves around a powerful ring of dark lord SAURON of MONDOR that has to be destroyed. the battle sequences of human race fight against the creatures of mid-earth is astornshing. The visual effects bring the life to the battle by bring giant elephants( MAMMOTH type) to the screen. the cast includes Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, John Rhys-Davies. directed by PETER JACKMAN ,the movie manages several oscar nomination and 11 win including BEST DIRECTOR AND BEST PICTURE.
5) FACE OFF: The movie moves around an FBI officer JOHN TRAVOLTA( archer) seeking revange over NICKLOS CAGE(caster troy) for the murder of his son. But when trying to stop caster troy he takes his face and went to jail searching any one who can tell where caster troy had planed a bomb blast caster troy manages toteke the face of archer and ebd all the evidance and the story changed as from then JOHN TRAVOLTA plays caster troy and NICKLOS CAGE plays arche . Wow! the movie continues as archer tries toget back his identity and face. Directed by famous action moviesicon JOHN WOO, the movie is great for action packed weekend.
The above five movies are my choice for action weekend and are also rated best by many of my friends.
