Comedy films to indian people in recent years basically means farcial govinda flicks like rajaji,dulara and many more which make you anything but laugh but there have been instances when film just on the basis of their clean script have managed to makes us laugh and here the best amongst the rest in reverse order

5.hera pheri

hera pheri which was directed by priyadarshan and had akshay kumar,suniel shetty ,om puriand paresh rawal in it.the film basically was how an old drunken landlord and his two tenants try to make fast money after hearing about rich girl kidnapping because of an cross connection.the films biggest asset was paresh rawal in role of baburao .paresh rawal is absoulately brilliant in this role and also comic timing between akshay and suniel is quite good.

4.chupke chupke

chupke chupke was directed by hrishikesh mukerjee and had dharmendra,amitabh,om prakash and sharmila tagore in it.the film basically was how parimal tripathy an botanist tries to outwit his brother in law who is considered to be very clever by his wife by disguising as an driver.the film had good clean script and comic timing between dharmendra and om prakash is excellent.the best scene im movie is when he ask om prakash about abnormalities in english language

3.andaz apna apna

this film directed by rajkumarsantoshi and had aamir khan,salman khan,raveena,karisma,shakti kapoor and paresh rawal in it.the film basically was about how two small town lukhas dream of becoming rich by marrying a rich girl and also had twin plot of twin brothers.aamir khan and salman khan comic timing is excellent but it is shakti kapoor as grandmaster gogo makes us laugh most

2.golmaal

the film directed by hrishikesh mukherjee had amol palekar ,utpal dutt,deven verma in it.the film is basically about how ram sharma lies to get an job and how he cooks a fictional story about twin brother,mother when he is caught and comedy of errors arising out of it.utpal dutt and amol palekar are brilliant in film

1.jaane bhi do yaaron

this off beat flick has to be given numero uno crown in this category.the film directed by kundan sha which had nasseruddin shah,ravi baswani,satish shah,pankaj kapur,om puri and bhakti barve in it .the basic story was how two small time photographers who are hire by editor in order to expose builder -bmc nexus get involved in bigger fracas when they stumble upon more facts.the mahabharat scence has to be best scene ever as it is quite hilarious and nasser ravi baswani and satish shah as the dead body are excellent
