If music be the food of love, play on!

Music is the one constant between all cultures in the world. Go to any place on earth and they will listen, or make music. It is an obsession we are all guilty of. Does anybody actually know less than 100 songs?

Anyway, the reason why I am writing is to tell the fantastic MS readers my favourite love songs. Music and love go together like Chilli and Tortilla Chips. It just does. There is a song for every occasion when it comes to love. These song reflect that.

  1. Sorry seems to be the hardest word - Elton John.

I love this song because it says so much about how love can go wrong and how love can be rekindled by a single, but difficult word - sorry. It shows that love isn't everlasting and there is a possibility that it will go wrong, but if you work for love, love will pay you.

  1. Hello - Lionel Richie.

This is the ultimate song for an unrequited lover(and I know plenty of them.) This comforts but also expresses deep passion to an unknown lady. Richie tears the heartstrings as he goes through how the love he has cannot be used as he doesn't know where his lady is.

  1. My Immortal - Evanescense.

The weird thing about this song is that it is so out of character for a rock band to do a love song outside of power ballads. The band's use of chords bring emotion to the track which explains a transfixation between two lovers.

  1. F it - Eamon.

This isn't necessarily a love song(more a hate song) but signifies the deep passion within love. Through Eamon's lyrics he expresses the feelings he had and how they were misrepresented. This track warns that lovers shouldn't take their partner for granted.

  1. If I could turn back the hands of time - R. Kelly

This is a great tune because it also explains how love shouldn't be taken for granted but from a different angle. It shows how mistakes are made in love and how love should really forgive if someone has done wrong. His call for forgiveness is very emotional and shows us that we really shouldn't fly off the handle when it comes to love.
