Abercrombie & Fitch

Abercrombie and Fitch ( http://www.abercrombie.com) is considered the most preppy store out there that aims its clothes at teenagers. Unlike other teenager’ stores like Forever 21, etc. AF is quite expensive. The clothes generally range from some where between $20 to $110. Most of them costing around $30 - $50. Despite the prices however, AF is an extremely popular store all over America. Its main competition comes from a similar store called American Eagle that makes the same kinds of clothes. AF however beats American Eagle in terms of the quality of the material, designs and a good eye for what will be the latest trend.

One of the reasons why the store manages to be so exorbitant in its prices yet have a huge fan following is because a number of celebrities wear AF.  Another reason for the popularity is that there are a number of different types of styles available. Besides selling shirts, jeans, sweaters, tank-tops, etc. AF is also attempting to create its own place with perfumes and after shaves. And they've actually managed to do quite a decent job with the scents. Shoes are another product that is sold at Abercrombie & Fitch. I however, find that their shoes are really bulky for girls and prefer American Eagle here.

Most of the malls in the US have an Abercrombie and Fitch. The store also pushes American patriotism as times (rarely) by incorporating the flag or the typical American colors. Generally the clothes are aimed at teenagers in general without any specific ethnicity being the focus. I've noticed that stores like Armani, Gap and Benetton tend to be more patriotic. AF also has a kiddie store for those middle schoolers, which is called Abercrombie.

On the whole I’d suggest AF for * teenagers * and people in their * early 20s * who are willing to spend a little more money than usual. For the rest of the age groups grow up people, there are other stores out there.
