De dhana dhan..my top 5 action movies.
Nov 26, 2008 10:09 AM 7301 Views

  1. *Sholay.

*The action sequences are amazing considering this movie was made in 1975. Gerry Crampton & Mohd. Ali were the stunt coordinators behind those brilliant stunts/action sequences of Sholay. Sholay had memorable action scenes...just like each character, each dialogue of Sholay. The scenes worth mentioning...the Train sequence, basanti running away from the daakus, the Holi sequence..& the Amitabh-Dharmendra finale....

  1. *Kaante :

*This movie again had stunt co-ordinators from abroad & it was surely worth it. The movie is not a full fledged action movie...it just has one big action sequence when the guys rob the bank & they come face to face with dozens of cops

  1. *Ghatak :

This is probably one of the movies where even a Dharmendra looks amateur in front of Sunny Deol. Though **ARJUN is one of my favorite Sunny Deol action movies because the scenes in Arjun looked more realistic than Ghatak., but Sunny Deol makes you believe in Ghatak that he can really beat up all those brothers of Danny Denzongpa in the movies singlehandedly. Amazing perfomances by the star cast...helped make the action sequences look even more ferocious.

  1. *Shaan :

*Gerry Crampton was again the stunt co-ordinator for this movie, Shaan. My favorite action sequence in this movie...the scene where Sunil Dutt gets chased by dozens of hounds..& he runs across the Island trying to save himself. This movie had car chases, had all the gizmos, had all the masala of a typical bollywood action flick.

5.** Khiladiyon ke Khiladi/ Awara Pagal Deewana :

*Akshay Kumar takes the cake when it comes to stunts. Only thing worth watching in Khiladiyon Ke Khiladi  was the action sequences between Akshay & some of the WWF stars....including The Undertaker.

Awara Pagal Deewana had some never ending action sequenes but they wree something new for Indian audiences..though lot of it was inspired from hollywood flicks... there was even one sequence where they picked one from The Matrix.....
