Aamir Khan - The Only Real Actor

We are seeing something unravel right in front of our eyes an actor by the name of Aamir Khan. I don’t see this guy ever doing a bad movie. I don’t even see his movies ever failing because people go to see his movie just because he is in it. He keeps delivering quality followed by quality. What actually shocks me is how can the Indian film industry, which is corrupt to begin with, fail to recognise a superstar that India has lacked since the demise of Amitabh Bachchan. SRK has won all the best actor awards in the ’90s, but let’s gets the facts straight.

Who has given the most hits?

Who has the best projects?

Who keeps innovating his roles?

SRK won the best actor award for a weak role in KKHH and Aamir was all but ignored for his masterful portrayal in Ghulam. Enough said. Aamir khan is the perfectionist. There is no class of Shahrukh or any Bollywood actor including Amitabh in front of Aamir. Aamir Khan is the finest, intelligent and perfect actor the film industry has ever produced. Aamir Khan is the perfectionist. He is the most lovable and acceptable actor in the industry today. His record speaks it all. He has given super hits and hits movies with all new directors. (QSQT, JJWS & AHAT) Mannsoor Khan, (Dil, Ishq & Mann) Inder Kumar, (Rangeela) Ram Gopal Verma.

(Raja Hindustani & Mela) Dharmesh Darshan, (Ghulam) Vikram Bhatt, (Sarfarosh) John Matthew Mathan, (Raakh) Aditya Bhattacharyya, (1947 Earth) Deepa Mehta, (Baazi & Lagaan) Ashutosh Gowarikar, (Dil Chahta Hai) Farhan Akhtar and (Rang De Basanti) Rakesh Omprakash Mehra. For a change every time with even a new actress. SRK success is because he has good directors to back him up every time likes of Yash Chopra and Karan Johar with a number one heroine. Aamir Khan is one actor who believes in being an actor first and a star later. It’s disgusting to hear the media heaving so much praise on SRK’s acting skills and him being the numero uno of Bollywood.

What SRK has delivered again and again is the same repetitive characters just the costume changes. Put Rahul of K3G in dhoti and kurta and here is Devdas. His performance has nothing new. Aamir on the other hand is a great actor who believes in enacting a range of roles, each different, yet entertaining. Way to go Aamir you are the real numero uno!!! Aamir is the most intelligent actors we have today. I admire Aamir so much because, in spite of growing in the maze of the shallow Bollywood filmmaking. This young man has evolved his own creative style which is so distinctive. I feel sorry that he is in this industry where there are very few ’’real’’ filmmakers.

I just hope he is able to produce his own films so that he can give the world his best. We need more Naseeruddin Shahs, Aamir Khans, Utpal Dutts today and perhaps intelligent and articulate scriptwriters and directors. The balance that Aamir strikes between stardom and substance is a rare quality indeed. It is this more than anything else that makes Aamir what he is: a Bollywood icon without a peer.

Aamir has never allowed superstardom to overshadow the quality of his craft. Aamir’s romantic image was never as strong as SRK, that’s the reason. He did not stick upon it. There is Romantic, Comedy or Action movies made. When Aamir’s so-called romantic movies were failing he could not go to Action or comedy, so he started to look for great scripts.

Whereas SRK he could just pull through a film with his mere presence like AB did during his prime. Anyway Awards. I totally agree with Aamir’s theory of not attending the awards he thinks they are inconsistent and I couldn’t agree more with him. He had huge respect for National awards and I did too but after Saif winning. I think they are as inconsistent as Film fare awards now. I don’t know what he thinks of it. National awards have been fair in the past honouring great performances but Saif for Hum Tum?

You know how media is always like ’’Aamir stopped attending the awards when SRK won for DDLJ’’ That is just crap in capital letters! Aamir even mention in one of his interviews that he stopped attending awards post 1992 when Anil Kapoor won the Award for his mediocre performance for Beta I don’t know what happened that year but it has been since 1992. He writes his own rules, breaks them then makes them again he is a trendsetter (how many stars have followed him he sings they sing, he grows hair they do too) he gives his 100% to his entire role.

He is versatile and has guts to say no to his friends no matter how big they’ve become Farhan or Ashoutosh at same time he gives chance to new/flop director. Something that stars are not willing to do. He’s my favourite actor; I love his determination and dedication to his work. I admire Aamir as an actor, I’m obsessed with his movies and the way he works and acts in films. I think he lacks in self advertising.

For me, it is good. I admire Aamir Khan for this quality. But Bollywood is a different world. There is no place for genuine people like him. You have to proclaim yourself as a superstar or as a God or whatsoever to get that title. I feel this is the reason why Aamir didn’t get his due so far. I think Aamir is too proud of himself and he is proud of being perfectionist.

Well again media made him so and he believes that. No one is perfect. But again, he is a man with immense talent and pride, he must have a big ego, or else, how can he lead a normal life. Whatever he is or however he is as Aamir Khan, I don’t care. But as an actor, he is god. He is our Tom Hanks. He is too good. Aamir has come a long way from his QSQT days! But I feel he deserved success, and deserved failures too.

Because Aamir needed to taste the reality of life. If he tasted success too early, he would have been over confident! I like Aamir Khan because he is brave enough to do all kind of roles each one uniquely different from the other. Aamir may have had his flops, but his performances for all movies were superb. Even in Mann, Mela, and Raja Hindustani. He doesn’t need a hit to prove that he is the best actor in Bollywood.

He simply just blows you away with any role that he does. Seems AK’s versatility tempted me write on films. He the best Bollywood actor right now and he is a perfectionist. So much so that he can go to any extent to get into the character. Real performer. Real star. The BO performance of his movies has been consistent in the last 10 years and his overall success rate is just behind overrated Amitabh.

The media criticizes Aamir by saying that Aamir contacts the media and gives interviews only when his movies are on release. So what’s wrong with that? He will contact the media when it will be useful for him. Don’t the journalists contact him only when they want to and when he is useful for their magazine. So what’s wrong when Aamir does the same?

Aamir (after he became star)
