Purchased in the winter of 2015 and used it for around 4 months and was really loving it. I am trying to get in better shape and was very much enjoying the heart rate feature.
However, as soon as the weather warmed up and I was exercising outside more(and sweating more, I suppose), I started to develop a rash on my wrist around where the Fitbit HR battery is located. Although I took a few days off from wearing it, the rash never went away and worsened after continued use. Eventually, after reading online, I discovered that my rash appears to actually be a chemical burn related to sweat chemically reacting to the battery of the HR. You can see this pretty clearly from the picture.
I immediately discontinued used and now have a small scar where the rash used to be. It appears to be going away, but only slowly. Obviously, this product is unusable for me. Chemical burns and scarring are not worth it.
