A sequel to Pixar's Finding Nemo(2003), Finding Dory puts the spotlight on the kind and spirited blue tang fish called Dory, who suffers from short-term memory loss. Having lost its way, the film tracks her journey of finding her way back to her parents despite the odds, with the help of Nemo and Marlin.

A classic Pixar movie, Finding Dory is all heart. Baby Dory, with eyes that can melt your heart, drifts away from her parents when a current sucks her away. Over the years, she grows up as an orphan looking for someone to call her own. Lost and confused, she wanders around in the ocean looking for help. She stumbles upon Nemo, Marlin and a camouflaging Octopus, who join Dory's journey. Can they help her reunite with her parents?

Following the plot line of the prequel, this one shifts focus from Nemo to Dori. Not just an out-and-out visual treat, the film tugs at your heartstrings with its slice-of-life tale that's simple, yet beautifully narrated. While entertaining the audience with its wit and adorable imagery, the story is replete with valuable life lessons that are poignant but not patronising. Instead of making you sympathise with its protagonist, the film motivates you to overcome your fear or disabilities, just like her. Revolving around the parent-child bond, it makes you value that sense of belonging and protectiveness your parents have for you and vice versa.

Another star of the film is Ellen DeGeneres, whose voice breathes life into Dory. It is Ellen, who captures the plight of the brave protagonist and presents it with utmost earnestness.

Speaking of visuals and 3D, Disney-Pixar ensures that you are in for a treat. The aquatic imagery leaves you spellbound. A few scenes do seem a bit too stretched but given the beauty of the visuals, Finding Dory is an absolute delight to watch. It's sweet and sentimental story is bound to leave you teary-eyed.
