Writer E L James waited a bit too long before her foray into writing. All through the years of dreaming she came out with a Dark/Grey character. Fifty shades of Grey moves quite well, the fiction is woven nicely. Despite the fact that this fat fiction is only about one week of encounter between Anastasia Steel and Christian Grey it manages to arouse interest............hmmmm what next.
Like Bollywood movies the rich guy is stinking rich, main reason behind all the female attraction and preferential treatment in life which is quite true in today's context. His sadomasochism too does not deter Ana from falling in love. The book definitely depicted shades of Grey but FIFTY???? The fact still remains questionable. The highlight of the fiction is its narrative. But once the book finishes, I was left to wonder one week and so much of drama. Can anyone handle the same in real life?
Well, if the lead female character of this book has been able to do it kudos to her. The character of Kate Kavannah, though projected as a very strong one was underplayed in the book and the less captivating Ana Steele stole the entire limelight. The Control freak in the composed Christian Grey perhaps found her the soft target.
Overall, it was a fine reading material specially during travel. Some spine chilling narratives for a less adventurous reader. Fine depictions of luxuries/amenities money can acquire. A refined version of the story may well be suited to even Bollywood flick provided Indian audience is mature enough to handle the same.
