''Romance is in the air''-this is all what I can say.These days lovebirds are working together in films.Last week we saw the real life birds,Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai in ''Kyun! Ho Gaya Na...'',romancing in a film.Add to this,we now have ''Fida'',which brings the lovebirds,Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor,together for the first time on screen.
This film is one of the biggest releases of the year and the film industry has lots of expectations from it because first of all,the two lovebirds are appearing on the screen for the first time.Secondly this film is made by the superhit team behind ''Ishq Vishk''.Also,Fardeen Khan and Kareena Kapoor have worked two times earlier in films like ''Khushi'' and ''Dev'',which flopped at the box-office.Will Shahid-Kareena real life romance work for this film?Will Tips and Ken Ghosh,deliver a hit again after their first film?Will Fardeen-Kareena will finally give a hit together?Now that is to be seen.

THE CHARACTERS AND PERFORMANCES:
1.Jai(Shahid Kapoor):Jai is an orphan since childhood and whatever he has achieved in life today is due to his own hard work.Due to his love,he gets involved in a crime and his love story doesn`t end on a perfect note.Shahid Kapoor acts very well and reminds you of the Rajiv of ''Ishq Vishk''.
You can see some maturity in his performance and also a growth in him as an actor.His face expressions and dialogue delivery are all very natural.He is excellent,especially in the scene where he agrees to take the blame of stealing Rs.55 million,on himself.We hope to see more of him,in the coming future.
2.Neha(Kareena Kapoor):Neha is a girl-next-door kind of a character,who is the central attraction between two boys.She is a simple girl who turns into a strong lady due to circumstances.Kareena Kapoor has done a wonderful job,throughout the film.Also,her new hairstyle,in the first half looks very good on her.A lot was being talked about her negative character but her character is not an out-and-out negative role.It has some negative shade,mainly towards the second half.This is another good performance from her after ''Chameli''.
3.Vikram(Fardeen Khan):Vikram is a very rich and self-centered kind of a person.he is suave,good-lloking and intelligent who falls in love with Neha,but exactly like Jai,even his love story doesn`t have the perfect ending.Fardeen Khan does a good job,as Vikram,but nothing extra-ordinary.His role has some negative shades and he also looks like a negative character,so Vikram`s role suits him to the T.
Kim Sharma,as Sonia,comes after a very long time,about 2 years and is still the same.She does the same what she did in ''Mohabbatein'',wearing short clothes and not acting,at all.We hope to see her 'acting',in her forthcoming releases such as ''Nehle Pe Dehla'' and ''Taj Mahal-An Eternal Love Story''.Akhilendra Mishra as the underworld don tends to go overboard.
THE STORY:
A robbery of Rs.60 million takes place through internet,from the accounts of an underworld don.The underworld don wants to get his hands on the one who made this robbery,in any cost.This robbery effects on a love story and becomes the reason for it not ending on a perfect note.Jai`s love story is affected by this robbery.Jai is a very hard-working boy who has no family member with him.He is a car mechanic and whatever he has achieved in his life,it is due to his own hard work.He has just one friend,Sonia,who actually likes him,but he is in search of someone else.
One day he finds that someone else and she is Neha.Neha is a simple kind of a girl who falls in love with Jai,after some meetings.Both of them are madly in love with each other,but life has something else for them.A problem takes place in Neha`s life,which can be solved by getting lots of money,otherwise some dons will kill her.Jai plans a bank robbery but ends up trying to steal Vikram`s brifecase,who is a very rich man.The money which Vikram was carrying were the one from the internet robbery of Rs.60 million.
Jai is caught by Vikram and Vikram decides to give the Rs.60 million to Jai,only if he takes the blame of that robbery on himself.Jai agrees on this,for the sake of his love.When Jai`s life takes such a tragic point,his love story with Neha also comes to an end.Why?What went wrong?Was Neha not loyal to Jai?The second story which starts is of Vikram`s.He also falls head over heels for Neha and wants her in his life.Neha spends all her time with him and lives with him,but this love story also doesn`t go as planned.Why?What went wrong?Do all the love stories have the perfect ending?Find the answers to these questions,after watching the film.
THE WORK OF THE CREW:
Ken Ghosh`s direction is good.He has succeeded to make a tight and gripping film.The usual romance in the first half between Jai and Neha (Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor) is entertaining.There is flirtation,romance,dance and songs which keeps the interest of viewers alive.The turning point in the story where Jai decides to make a robbery and Vikram makes his entry into the story is interesting.So far,so good but some scenes in the second half are not so well executed.
The second half tends to get a bit boring,with the evil and wicked plans of Vikram and Neha (Fardeen Khan and Kareena Kapoor),but after sometime there is another twist in the story and the film gets interesting again.The climax is well shot.I don`t know whether all the love stories have the perfect ending or not,but this film surely has a perfect ending.The climax is the plus point of the movie.
Screenplay is fine and the film is interesting at places,but it is also confusing at times.The whole robbery case,through the internet comes as a confusing track.How come Vikram,being so successful,etc.,made this robbery?Some characters are also confused like Sonia`s character.Her attraction towards Jai also makes no sense.Infact,there was no need for Sonia`s character.
Script is good and a bit different.Of course,we have seen such romantic scenes as in this film,several times before but the whole concept and idea of Rs.60 million is a different one,though the film will remind you of ''Ajnabee''.
