Gentle Giant. Review on Fiat Palio Stile

First of all, I would like to thank all of you for your great learning reviews. which even guided me to my firm decision to buy this Italian beautiful giant . THANKS ALLOT. I am a avid car lover ... Automotive industry is very close to my heart. Though am not connected professionally with it.

As even in my case Palio was at the end of my list. never thought I will actually buy this car. My list was.

1-Wagon-R

2-Spark

3- Indica Vista TDI

4-Palio Stile.

So when I went to test drive see Indica Vista This gentle giant attracted me towards him. & as it was fitting my pocket I just landed up test driving Palio. And was surprised with the performance of this car. As I was about to buy wagon R and had test driven it I surprised with the following.

1-Space 2-Handling 3-Gear Shifts 4-Sturdiness 5-Tyre grip

So this all influenced my decision for Palio. Though Wagon -R can not stand with palio in any comparison as Palio is B+ segment and Wagon R is in B segment. I purchased this car from Pandit Auto -Pune. They(TATA Finance) processed my loan exactly in 4 days.I booked this car on 7th of Nov. And got delivery on ospicious day of GURUNANAK JAYANTI that is 13th of Nov. I opted Magnesium Grey colour.

Car buying experience was very very Pleasant. right from start till delivery. Staff was very helpful. Thus my first car was in my hand.

Till date I clocked 1500kms in that one trip to nasik and one trip to Aurangabad. Believe me friends u start falling in love with this giant again and again and again.....once again....

Over all he gave me approx avg of 16 city+ highways

Driving this beast is real thrill overtaking on highways is very easy without exhaustive acceleration u overtake easily. I could overtake swifts... santros .... easily....very stable car very responsive engine as well as steering.

My observation is that when u drive santros and swifts on highways u get feel of driving a hollow bodied car ....but with this gentle giant u feel u r driving heavy bodied firm gripped giant. Suspension systems behaves greatly dealing with bad roads....That's why this all component makes this car very firm on road.

Night driving was real pleasure this DOUBLE BARREL eyes of this giant leaves opposite vehicles stunned... they just beg u to put Lights on deeper ....trucks and other vehicles really respects this vehicle and gives a decent space to overtake.

City driving is also cool with no hassle at all. I would like to share one lot discussed issue of this car, some people call this "UNDERPOWERED". But I can surely say that in comparison to other cars in same segment I can never say this car "underpowered" . @ 3.8 laks what else we can get.? Extra speed lovers can always go for 1.6 sport model.

So overall I AM COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH GENTLE GIANT....I will rate this car 9 out of 10 for overall experience.

Will surely update after first service.Update-18/01/09Its been two months and 4500kms. 1st servicing done at 2000kms. Believe me this machine has somthing in it which connects u to this Giant very closely. Driving pleasure is increasing day by day. till date there is no problem with anything as such. Car(Giant) is running smoothly. Its giving me 17km/lit on highways and 13km/lit in city with AC.Tough engine is 1.1 but u never feel powerless while overtaking.I am Truly proud and satisfied owner of Fiat Palio
